Hello Everyone!!
I am currently in Canada & I just got my First-approval letter in lieu of my permanent Residency Application. My boyfriend/fiancee sponsored me under the Common-Law class.
My son/dependant child, who is in the Philippines right now, is also being sponsored by my boyfriend for Permanent Residency.
After I got my First-Approval letter (AIP), I was told by CIC-Vegreville that my son's application has been forwarded to CIC-Manila, who will then process the rest of his application.
A few weeks ago, CIC-Manila sent a letter to my dad (my son's legal guardian), advising them to send a copy of my son's passport, Authenticated Birth Certificate, and Passport pictures. They're now in the process of sending all those documents & might be received my CIC-Manila in the next week or two.
Im just wondering though, since I know that the next step would be my son's medical exam, would it be advisable if I just let him do the medical right away without having to wait for that letter from CIC-Manila advising him of the Medical requirements? I have the all the necessary forms needed for his Medical, as well as the location/offices of the Designated Medical Practitioner. Im just thinking that it might take the processing a lot sooner than 6months if I just go ahead & let him do the medical exam prior to CIC-Manila's instructions.
I need some advice. Please help.
Thanks!
