Is COA compulsory?

ung nga po d ko alam eh, nag pa register ako kanina pero ung date ng seminar nila august pa nag txt na ko sa kanila na flight ko na sa 23 d nmn cla reply... hay d ko alam kung pano kaya un

hahaha d pa nga nag babago ung status ng ecas ko eh hinarass ko na lang ung taga immigration kc despirado na ko maexpired na kc ung medical ko ngaun 28 buti na lang at napag bigyan ako hahahaha

nope iba pa po ung CFO sa COA (Canadian Orientation Abroad) kc nung kinuha ko ung passport ko with visa sabi sa immigration may orientation daw sa CFO at COA

tell them na lng na nagrerequire din ang govt ng possibly similar seminar (GCS/PDOS) so baka pwedeng wag ka nang umattend nun.

Hi sis ML! I dont think need pa ng ganung seminar...si aginaya nasa canada na and I guess wala naman sya inatenan na ganun seminar...

IOM Seminars: Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA)

Participants: voluntary for all Filipinos leaving the country as temporary workers under the Live-in Caregiver Program or in any permanent resident category

Length: one full day

Where: IOM office on the 24th Floor of the Citibank Tower Bldg. at 8741 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City

Cost: free-of-charge

Program: In the seminars, one will learn about the nature of the Canadian society, common problems of adaptation faced by newcomers, the rights and obligations of temporary workers and immigrants, the Canadian health and educational systems, how to find a job, how to look for a place to live in, the cost of living, and facts about the city in which you will be living in.

While attendance in these seminars is not mandatory, there are a lot of benefits that can be obtained in attending it. It will give you a lot of information on skills necessary for a successful adaptation in Canada; reliable information on issues and concerns regarding Canadian labor laws, contract expiry/extension, permanent resident status, sponsorship; and practical tips about life in Canada.

thank you sa link my natanggap na me message galing sa COA pwedeng d na me attend ng orientation punta na lang dw me sa office nila para ma register at makuha ung ilang papers

its not mandatory naman...
kelan ka na dm sis at how long ang visa issued?
kasi sabi nila 2 to 3 months daw ang visa after dm?
