The pattern when somebody got a DM status:

1. Someone will ask, "Are you a Yolanda victim?"
2. Then others whine, "Maraming nagkunwaring Yolanda pero hindi naman..., Sana matapos na ang mga Yolanda victims para kami naman..., etc. etc.
3. Some are just keeping their cool and spread positivity and hope.

Saan kaya tayo sa tatlo? ::)

I am not a math major or something but i clearly see and feel how this prioritization delays the process for regular applicants.
It's obvious you aren't if you think this is causing big delays.

Over 40,000 applicants a year, That's almost a thousand applicants a week approved

If 2000 applicants claim they are Yolanda victims it would delay the entire process by less than 2 weeks, but then you have to take into consideration that those apps would have had work done on them anyway so it's more like a week and a day.

If you look at the spreadsheet of approvals which is a small sample, it's actually going faster this year than last year but so many people in this thread would rather blame someone or not use any critical thinking skills so they assume it's going slower, which it isn't.

Basically you are ignoring every piece of evidence that contradicts what is happening to make a wrong assumption.

I see May applicants complaining that they should have their permanent residence done already and its only because of the Yolanda victims they don't. Entirely clueless, it's never been that fast.

There is no amount of explanation that could satisfy these people. :)

Hi everyone. Can somebody please answer this for me?

I have the following status on our eCAS. PR Application Status: Application Received.

1.We received XXXXXXXXXXX application for permanent residence on December 9, 2013.

2.Medical results have been received.

Does this mean that my application has been sent to CEM already? Or merong specific na lalabas na tipong, natransfer na sya sa appropriate visa office? medyo confused lang. hehe. meron pa bang AOR for the papers if dumating na sya dito sa Manila?

Maraming salamat in advance sa sasagot. :)

Happy New Year everyone! :D :D :D
Me too! Same status in ECAS, and confused din if they already forwarded my application here in CEM.. I guess we just have to wait for their email. :)

I'd have to agree with you.. :) I was reading through this thread and I've found that some had to wait at least a month (if they're lucky) or two for their SA. For us December applicants, we received our SAs in less than 2 weeks! I was really up to expecting the worst but, its a nice feeling to know that the process is indeed faster now. I dont know about the Yolanda issue.. But I think they are processing PH applications faster this time. I am one of the people who maintains the spreadsheet for the December applicants and its noticeable that the process for PH applicants are faster than those who aren't. I guess, the stall is with CEM. But either way, I am happy and hopeful. :D

To those who think that the Yolanda issue is affecting the processing times, my take is to just let karma do the "sweet revenge" for us and not actually file a complaint to CEM. Because of series of complaints, what might happen is immigration officers would spend additional precious time to investigate supposed Yolanda victim applicants. Say now they might spend time calling applicants or requesting additional evidence of being a victim when they usually don't. That additional time spent could have already been allocated to non victim applicants. Just my opinion ;)
