Who: Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO), Canada's union for non-executive diplomats.
What: PAFSO is announcing the withdrawal of services at several posts in key international locations and at Headquarters in Ottawa, as well as a date for resumption of negotiations with the Treasury Board Secretariat.

Canada's Permanent Mission to the Organization of American States (OAS), Washington, DC
International Economic Relations & Summits Division (HQ)
North America Policy & Relations Division (HQ)
Hemispheric Affairs Division (HQ)
When:
Service withdrawals initiated May 21, 23, 24, 26, and 27 depending on location
Negotiations scheduled to resume on June 3, 2013
Why: PAFSO is in a legal strike position and is undertaking targeted service withdrawals in order to obtain equal pay for equal work. The union's members are paid $3,000 to $14,000 less than other federal government professionals in comparable occupational groups.
