DAY 7
THE LAST WORDS OF CHRIST
CONTRITION
Leader: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
People: Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true man, I am heartily sorry for having sinned You and my neighbor. You are my Lord and my Brother whom I love above all things. Come and help me, not to sin again, and led me into a new life. I trust in Your loving forgiveness.
OPENING PRAYER
People: Lord Jesus of Nazareth, Your cross proclaims the wonder of Your love. Teach us to reflect on Your suffering, death and resurrection, in order to have an unfailing faith in Your goodness that has no end. You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
Reflection: [Jn. 19:25-27]
Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
St. John represents the followers of Jesus on the cross. Jesus gave us to His mother to be her children; she is our mother. Just as God used the Blessed Virgin to come close to us, so He wants that we come close to Christ through the Blessed Mother. Let us love her the way we love her Son, Jesus. Learn from her humility, purity, and love for God and our neighbor.
INTERCESSION
Father in heaven, Your Son Jesus prayed that You forgive us our sins. Receive his prayer for all of us, sinners.
Response: (R) Lord of Nazareth, be merciful to us.
Through St. John, You gave Mary the Mother of all. May we be shining reflections of your Mother. (R)
Lord, listen to those who hope in You; from all snares and loneliness, deliver us. (R)
Lord, Jesus, at the time of our death, may Your Mother pray for us so that we may be with You in paradise. (R)
(Pause for Personal Intentions)

People: Lord God, our Father, You willed that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross for the sins of the world. Grant us the grace to be one with His suffering so that we may be worthy to hope for a new life. Help us to walk the way of Your commandments and to serve You in our neighbors. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Seventh Day
O Lady of Guadalupe, we beg you that parents live a holy life and educate their children in a Christian manner; that children obey and follow the directions of their parents; that all members of the family pray and worship together. This we ask of you, O Mother.
(Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, 1 Glory Be)
PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF MANAOAG
Virgin Mother of God, Queen of the most Holy Rosary, Thou who hast chosen to raise thy throne of mercy in Manaoag, to be the beloved protectress and patron of the Province of Pangasinan, and therefrom to bestow thy graces on us thy children, banished in this valley of tears, look down with Thine eyes of mercy upon me, who am beset with so many dangers of body and soul. Despise not my petition O dearest Mother, but intercede for me before thy divine Son now and at the hour of my death.

INTERCESSION PRAYER TO SAINT ANTHONY DE PADUA
Holy Saint Anthony, gentle and powerful in your help, your love for God and charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were always ready to request for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me (request/petitions) . The answer to my prayer may require a miracle. Even so, you are the Saint of miracles. Gentle and loving Saint Anthony, whose heart is ever full of human sympathy, take my petition to the Infant Savior for whom you have such a great love, and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.
Amen.
