Im glad I found this forum.. I really.. really NEED YOUR HELP.. :-[ :-[

My partner is a naturalized Canadian Citizen for more than 10 years now. I met him in 2007 when he visited his parents in Manila for a supposed to be a short vacation. We dated for quite a while and soon after decided to enter in a relationship. Now, we have been continuously living together for more 3 years and have enough proof to show that we are living in conjugal relationship. This December we are finally submitting a sponsorship application under family class - common law relationship. We have all the required IMM forms filled-up and a heap of documents as attachments to our application forms. However, there are some requirements mentioned in Sponsorship/Immigrating Guides that we need clarifications;

I hope anyone here would be able to help us;

1. One of the requirements is a medical examination from designated medical practitioner (DMP). Do I need to undergo Medical Examination
first before we submit the application form to CPC-M?
2. Part of the medical examination is to bring the Passport. Unfortunately, my passport is already expired. Will they accept my expired passport
and allow me undergo medical examination? OR they will request me to return once I have secured a valid passport?

3. My partner's passport will expire on September 2011and he needs to go back to CANADA to renew it. Assuming if we're able to submit the
application forms and all supporting documents in December or worse January of 2011. Do you think the CPC-M and the Canadian Visa
office in Manila would have their decision before Sept 2011?

Appreciate your response.. thanks!!

hello again everyone
I have one more concern share naman sa mga na try na umalis sa bansa.
kasi it goin to be my first time to leave the country.
kasi nabasa ko sa guideline ng air canada and i think this applies to other airlines too.
na kailangan mag present ng valid id with picture and bday with exact name of what in the ticket
now my problem is all my ids prc sss bir are still in my maiden name. ung passport ko lang ang napalitan ko ng married name
eh too late naman na iparenew cas most of them will take month or two before makuha..
ung prc ko i renew it last sept 27 eh by dec 27 pa daw siguro un marelease

then i thought of postal id.. which im trying to get now.. im gathering my requirements to get this postal id
now my question is..

okay na kaya ung postal id? sapat na ba yun

thank you !!

God Bless us all!

im not sure with my answer pero if thats the case and wala kana time para e-pa change mga ID's mo i would suggest what if try mo inquire sa canadian emabassy na call center baka may sagot sila or alam nila...or bring with you your ID's with your maiden name on it and bring with you extra copy of your original marriage contract(NSO COPY) and original birth certificate with you. Or if you have time try mo inquire sa mga offices ng mga Airlines if may idea sila regarding that..im sure alam nila...Godbless...Congrats!!! ;D

hi Raniloc,

question
1. yes you need to undergo medical examination first before submitting applications...the MP(medical practitioner) will give you a copy and include it in your application. if im not mistaken its called copy 2.

2. you should renew your passport first before you can undergo medical exams, that's one of their requirement. in the application they also need photo copy of your passport, if you will photo copy your expired passport that will 'cause delay to your application too. so better accomplish everything and it should be up to date that's one of the most important in applying.

3. processing time for canadian embassy depends on the country where the applicants origin, since you entered Manila Visa Office, i assume you are from Phil., for now current processing time for spouse, common law, conjugal according to cic.gc.ca is 9months since the completed application. based on Philippine website for cic it says at least 6months.

Now, processing time always change, so we can never depend on what is written today, it may change anytime depends on how bad is the traffic for applicants. sometimes it is also by case-to-case basis 'cause every applicants have different situations (back checks etc.)

Hope this helps you! Have a very great day and Good Luck!

hi Hentaznel, no worry dear, your passport is your ID. that is what you are showing every time you enter on plane for boarding. you will only show them passport, boarding pass and your ticket. have a safe trip....

Passport is the best ID that you are holding right now. you dont need any other ID. :)
