I am about applying for OESP (Ontario Electricity support program) credit, will it affect my eligibility to sponsor my spouse? please tell me your first hand experience if you where receiving this utility credit & got approved to sponsor your spouse or not before i make a wrong move

Thank you

Might not be many people who are in your situation. No, it should not affect your eligibility.

Friends please what does it mean by provide an extra form based on where the person you are sponsoring lives.

And also I want to know if we are suppose to submit original documents or copies based on Ghana's specific requirements, it wasn't stated if we are to submit original of copies please all suggestions and ideas are welcome.

Thank you.

Dumb question, I am the PR and want to sponsor my future wife.

1. I will be the one compiling the documents and sending it to the correct address. There is no online application. Correct?
2. Upon approval of spouse sponsorship, is there a passport request? If yes, i just send the instructions to my wife and she can send the passport to the correct address. Right?

Hello everyone, I submitted my spousal outland application in may without biometric fee . I didn’t knew that visitor visa biometric doesn’t work for PR applications and therefore I submitted visitor visa biometric fee receipt that I already had. How can i submit my biometric fee receipt for spousal PR application as I didn’t heard anything back from IRCC since may but i got temporary file number starts with XF.

Hi all,

Applied for inland common law sponsorship in April via a paper application. It was received on May 12th but still no AOR, I have however received a biometric fee reminder letter which contains an application number. I cannot link this application number to use it online and nor can I do anything else with it. Is this normal? Does it mean my application is finally being processed?

The biometrics reminder email was received on September 3rd.

1.The applications have to be filled online but you have to print them sign them and send it through mail. So yeah correct
2. Right

Hello, if I were to get a visit visa for my wife who I am sponsoring to come to Canada. Do I need to do anything to change the application. Currently applied for outland and see it being processed in Processing Centre Sydney. Would it cause any issues or delay the process?

No issues or delays to you PR app and you do not have to advise anybody of applying for a TRV.
. TRV's are hard to get when you have a PR app in process but you can try.

Thank you. Figure wouldn't hurt to try. It took them a year and 2 weeks just to get me the AOR. Now with Covid-19 I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Hello everyone,

I have a question: I am a Canadian citizen and applying for my wife to be sponsored outland. We have a son together (born outside of Canada, but I requested a proof of citizenship already). The question is - should I include my son as a dependent in the "Generic Application to Canada" (at the end of the form)? My understanding is that you do not include information about children who are already Canadian citizens, so I shouldn't include him in the form.

Q2: In this form, "Generic Application to Canada", if I am only sponsoring my wife and assuming my understanding from the previous question is correct, what should be a number of family members (i.e. question #3 in the form)

Thank you

Hello ,

I need help .
I want to migrate to Canada with my spouse .
The pandemic has really affected us to bad .
I need someone to guide me on how to go about it
I really need help please

You're going to have a few months to wait, at a minimum. You cannot link your application until you have AOR. You will get AOR once IRCC has had a chance to review to make sure you have nothing missing - and this will likely take a few months.
thanks

Question about police certificates from other countries - can I send a copy of a translated police certificate as well as a copy of the original police certificate? Basically, I would prefer not waiting for the original docs to arrive in the mail, and instead wanted to ask my family abroad to scan those docs for me to print and attach to the application.

thank you!
