Anyone know what application is waiting to be processed means exactly. I sent the application on Aug 2, received Aug 6th since then I have gotten nothing. In Nov with no updates went to my MPP who sent a message to them and told me they had the application and was in processing. Then in Feb I emailed them for status update and they just said "application is still waiting to be processed" I would be happy if I got an AOR so I can link the application online but I have not even gotten that.

If "they" means IRCC, it sounds like your MPP has directly received your AOR. After AOR, "In Process" is the status your file stays at for quite a while. Perhaps your MPP has linked your application online using your Application # & UCI (Unique Client Identifier), both which are given in your AOR. I would ask them for both of these. They may be trying to keep it less stressful for you by monitoring your status themselves now, but I personally like to be able to access my own file. Hope this helps!

Hi,

I have a few questions about the whole process of my Canadian common law partner sponsoring me a for permanent residency through the family class.
I met my partner in Thailand in December 2017, I visited him in Canada in January 2018 on an ETA and stayed as a visitor, we signed a lease together in April 2018.
In May 2018 I returned to England for some work and to visit family. I applied for a 2 year IEC visa wile I was in England, I was very lucky and got my visa and moved to Canada in June 2018. I consider this to be the day we started our conjugal relationship, we have lived together, paid rent together and neither of us have left the country since June 2018. My ICE runs out on June 15th 2020.
My first question is, is the family class the correct class as I have read about the Canada class and I’m confused as to which one is the best option for me. If I apply under the family class I would like to apply inland so I can stay living in Canada. I would like to also send off for a work visa so I can still work wile waiting for my application to being processed. I have read you can’t extend an IEC so am I even eligible to apply for a for a work visa, and if not do I just apply to change my status to a visitor? Wile I am waiting to hear back for either a work visa or change of status to visitor do I automatically get implied status, and if so can I continue to work?
In the application form, the question “when did you enter into the common law relationship” Is that June 2018 the day we started our conjugal relationship, or is it June 2019
1 year after we started living together? If the answer is June 2019 do we then have to live together until June 2020 before I can apply?
When sending proof of common law relationship, if me and my partner got our joint account together and only just added one another to each other’s benefits before sending of our application will this matter? Is it just proof of address they need or should we have had joint accounts and been on one another’s benefits for the whole year?
When I applied for my IEC work visa in May 2018 I gave a police certificate for England. In the document checklist for common law sponsorship it asks for a police certificate and says it must have been issues within one year. Does this matter in my case as I have not been to England or left Canada since it was issued in 2018?

Thank you for any help in advance.

Family Class = outland. In Canada class = inland.

You need to apply inland if you want to apply for an OWP. The only requirement to apply for the OWP is that you submit along with the inland app.

You have your IEC permit until June 15th. If you apply for inland PR and the OWP before that and the OWP is not approved by IEC expiry, you will be on Implied Status and able to continue working.

You became common-law June 2019. No, you don't have to wait until June 2020.

You need to look at the checklist to see required proofs. To prove common-law, you need address proofs that cover at least one full year.

You need the PCC.

Hi everyone!

I have a question regarding dependent children who are unable to attend medical because the mother is refusing to let the child go to the medical examination (according to Philippine law mother has automatic custody of child if the parents are not married to each other). If my husband prepare's a statutory declaration, can we include as evidence the text messages regarding her not agreeing to the medical examination because we won't agree to her financial demands? Is it a good idea to mention anything about money or will IRCC look at at that as us not doing the best we can to get the medical examination done?

any input or comments from anyone who has been through a similar situation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Also Write a letter quoting the law regarding illegitimate child from Philippine family code explaining that your husband have no custody.

Also your husband will need letter saying he can never sponsor his illegitimate children for PR In the future.

Thank you for your reply! We obtained a letter from a government body stating that the mother has full custody but its not notarized so I want to make sure that that will be accepted. Also, do we just attach the letter with evidences to the stat dec?

Again, can we mention that the mother refused to do the medical unless we meet her financial demands or will that make us look bad in the eyes of IRCC?

Apart from documents showing that you do not have custody of the child, they need some proof that you have at least made some effort. Sp if you have evidence that you communicated with the other parent and they said no, you should submit them as well

Hi all,

I am in the 2020 group and have started a specific thread for this: QUÉBEC 2020 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP.
So, if you are also from the 2020 group, I invite you to go there.

*** I strongly recommend you to follow this thread. Specially if you are, like me, an early 2020 applicant. It can give you a nice idea of how it moved in the last months ***

Since the beginning I also tried to find a spreadsheet on which we could be following timelines.
I worked on an existing spreadsheet and adapted it for Quebec. No need to ask for editing grants. It is open for everyone.

Here it is. The QUÉBEC 2020 OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zVX9W_94tNWGcguNqfaZ8zLfZ5rWt7Y_S__wbD-GwfQ/edit#gid=437088381

Good luck.

Same here my husband have a child that lives in US and he never met him and is not in contact with the mother . Our lawer made a letter ( sworn declaration ) that he will not have him examined ( medical ) and that he is aware that he will never be able to sponsor him. They also send a lettre with the part of the affidavit that explain the situation. our lawer say that it's suppose to be enough.

Hi,

My husband and I are currently living in Quebec, I am a PR and my husband is under TRV with a Work Permit. We recently received his CSQ Certificate, and he is currently working.

Our concern is regarding RAMQ. Upon translating the letter, we got a bit confused if he is able to apply for the RAMQ now that he has received his CSQ and is currently living in Quebec. His PR application is still currently processed.

Can anyone confirm if he is indeed able to apply for RAMQ already? It would be better to apply for it now since there is a 3-month waiting period.

Regards,

You need the ' AIP ' for the RAMQ. My husband try With only CSQ and they refuse. So you'll have to wait for this letter
Here the document that he bring to have RAMQ ; Work permit, Csq and AIP.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. May I know what AIP stands for? And how long did you guys wait for this AIP from the date you received the CSQ?
