I applied in January and didn't receive AOR2 until end of October. If you wish to know where it is and where it is going you can call and ask. They usually have the second VO listed.

not all people received AOR2 (for example Kiev often don`t send AOR2)

How long did it take after you medical and biometric To get your final decision ?
We did biometrics and medical in March 2019 and still have not received a decision.

Hi my husband applied on dec 2019 they have received application and from then we don’t have get any mail confirmation or anything. Can u help me that what is next and how long it will take to process and get my visa. I have heard i sometimes take only 6 months to get spousal visa

They normally send acknowledgment with in 60 to 70 days

OMG it’s too late, where did you apply from ? I mean which country ?
The principle applicant is from Ecuador. Our application was transferred to Mexico.

You should present a marriage certificate that is recognised by a authorised body of govt.

I'm not sure what the point of your post is. Regardless of what is recognized, Nikah-only apps are often refused.

I have replied to the comment that if some one can use just a NIKAH certificate. As per Canadian immigration law it should be recognised by govt in that country where the NIKAH was done.

The marriage may be recognized as legal but it may not be recognized as genuine - especially in cultures where a more elaborate ceremony is the norm that is extremely rarely violated.

There is a difference between legal and genuine marriages in Canadian law.

There's also a category of legal and genuine marriages that are entered into for immigration purposes - which are not good.

That’s true, it has to be genuine first. But as I have read in IRCC website it says that the marriage certificate should be from a recognised body of govt

But you're missing the distinction.

A nikah certificate may be recognized as indicative of a legal marriage, but the lack of any other ceremony makes it extremely questionable as a genuine marriage.
