I applied in January and didn't receive AOR2 until end of October. If you wish to know where it is and where it is going you can call and ask. You should present a marriage certificate that is recognised by a authorised body of govt.Nikah-only apps are often refused. You really should finish all ceremonies, especially Rukhsati.

The marriage may be recognized as legal but it may not be recognized as genuine - especially in cultures where a more elaborate ceremony is the norm that is extremely rarely violated.I have replied to the comment that if some one can use just a NIKAH certificate. There is a difference between legal and genuine marriages in Canadian law.
There's also a category of legal and genuine marriages that are entered into for immigration purposes - which are not good.
