So I called and picked the option for status of application, then I chose visitors visa category (because I never seem to get access when I choose sponsorship category). so I typed my application number on the phone key pad and the operator said they could not match my application number to the visa category, which I know is correct because I did that deliberately. I was transferred to an agent who says he has to transfer me to someone is sponsorship category. I got to wait a long time but I spoke to someone.

Oh and one more thing. In my husband's letter to me that we're gonna send with the application, he wrote his nickname at the end of the letter. But we are not going to put his nickname under the "Applicant's other name, such as nicknames, alias, etc". Will this be ok? Thank you so much.

ask in the thread specific to your visa office. each visa office has a different timeline.

You have to notify the CIC, they should be able to give you the forms to fill out to add the baby once it's born.

may i seek some advice to all pilipino here. my husband is canadian and now i am applying for tourist visa and mixed emotion until now i dont hear any from CIC. its okay to apply for outland sponsorship if i denied for tourist Visa. what are may chances for tourist visa i just married last January 18 2017. submitted my online application last Feb 9 17. hope you help me here what is the best thing i do. thanks a lot

1)Updated Generic Application form for Canada IMM 0008 for yourself and your spouse or CLP
2)Updated Additional Family Information form IMM 5406 for yourself and your spouse or CLP

Does it mean i have to fill IMM008 and my spouse needs to fill IMM008 separately in two different IMM0008 forms (or) only i should submit updated IMM 0008 including my spouse as my dependent in that form.

same for IMM 5406?

hi, you've asked this question 3 times in a matter of minutes. please stop posting the question and wait for a response. i wrote a response in the other thread you posted in. it is unclear which immigration stream this application is in reference to and the answer varies depending on whether it is PNP or spousal sponsorship. these are not the same thing.

If your spouse is your sponsor, you should send in an updated IMM0008 and IMM 5406 for yourself and any other dependents (not your spouse) applying for PR. In this case, your spouse is your sponsor, not your dependent for the purposes of these forms.

These requests are just generic form letters, and don't always apply in the strictest sense.

I'm seeing quite a bit of question spamming lately. People wanting answers NOW, like this is CIC customer service or something. Kinda frustrating when you take a few moments from your day to try and help, only to find out that they've either received several answers already in other threads, or they've posted in the wrong threads/forum.
