Hello Friends,

I am a permanent resident of Canada. I recently went to India for vacation and got married. I am back in Canada now, and I would like to call my wife here to stay with me. As sponshership program takes 12 months :

- Is it possible that I apply a Visitors visa for her and bring her here, and parallaly I apply for Spousal sponsorship ?
- Would she be eligible to apply for Health card if she is here in Visitors Visa ?
- What is the difference between Visitors visa and Dependent Visa ?

Please clear my confusion. Thanks a lot for yor feedback

You're on the family PR part of the forum, you should look at the Temporary Resident threads (foreign worker/international student).

Why didn't you apply for your child's visa when you got yours?

1) Yes, but it's difficult once you are married/applying for PR, because these are considered attachments to Canada. It is possible though, and even if she is refused you can try again. It won't affect her PR application. I'd suggest bringing her to Canada first and applying from within Canada, assuming she can live with you at this time.

2) Depends on your province. Alberta allows this.
3) Dependant visa is not an official term, but it usually refers to the open work permit the spouse of a foreign worker is eligible for. A visitor's visa is just a normal TRV for non visa-exempt countries. Both visas require you to prove you will leave when the visa has expired (show strong ties to home country). She's not eligible for an OWP as a dependent of a PR, but she would be eligible for the OWP with an inland PR application, if you can get her into Canada on a TRV.

So what i did when you go on Whatapp..settings- data and usage-storage usage then click ur husband name it will show the number of text, number of images shared, etc. screenshoot this. and then just select a few conversation from each year because my conversation went back from 2009 with my husband and submit it like this.

For FB screenshot the messages from several dates from different year...this should be fine...this is what i did.
Great! Thank you :)

We received your application for permanent residence on June 29, 2016.
We started processing your application on August 26, 2016.
Medical results have been received. Date modified:2016-11-04

Still waiting- anyone sailing in the same boat? Any updates? I am afraid the medicals may soon expire!

Hey ,
Q1- you can either write at the back of the picture , or organize them in Microsoft Word and add text below each picture .
Q2 -Doesn't matter how you arrange them , CP-Mississauga will re-arrange them , but it make sense to put the forms together according to the check list and then evidence together right after that.

Hi,

I'm filling up form IMM5532. In the Q4, it asks you to mention if you have visited each other during your relationship. I did came from Canada to get married(ours relationship was arranged over phone) and we met each other for twice or thrice before we got married, we never met before in-person. So in that question shall I write each day that we met? Or shall i write only that I travelled to visit my spouse? I mean shall I write:

10/10/2016-10/10/2016 My spouse came to visit me Did not stay together
20/10/2016-20/10/2016 I went to visit my spouse Did not stay together

And after we got married
xx/xx/2016-xx/xx/2017 My spouse came to visit me Stayed together.

OR

shall I only mention my travel dates. like the date i came to India and went back to Canada after my marriage?

Any suggestions please.

What does it mean by 'right of permanent resident fee'? Is it mandatory to pay $490 for that or its my decision to pay it or not?
