GUYS I NEED HELP.
MY GRANDPARENTS ARE APPLYING FOR TRV, APPLICATION FORWARDED TO MANILA VISA OFFICE ON APRIL 12,2016 THEY REQUESTED FOR MEDICAL LAST APRIL 16, 2016. ON MY GRANDFATHER'S X-RAY THEY SAW A SCAR ON HIS LUNGS THAT'S WHY THEY ASKED HIM TO TAKE A SPUTUM EXAMINATION TO MAKE SURE IT'S NOT TB RELATED SCAR. TEST WHERE DONE APRIL 20-21-22 SO AS FOR EVERYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT SPUTUM EXAM AFTER 1 WEEK AFTER THE TEST, PATIENT WILL RECEIVE A RESULT, IF THE FIRST RESULT CAME IN NEGATIVE IT MEANS IT A GOOD NEWS. BUT IF IT CAME POSITIVE THEY WILL RECOMMEND MY GRANDFATHER TO A PULMONOLOGIST AS TO WHAT THE NURSE SAID.AND THE SECOND RESULT WILL BE PROCESSED FOR 2 MONTHS.,

WE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM NATIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM THAT THE FIRST RESULT WAS NEGATIVE. AND SAID THAT IT WILL BE FORWARDED TO MANILA VISA OFFICE ASAP

NOW ITS BEEN A LONG WAIT JUST FOR TRV THAT SHOULD JUST BE PROCESSED FOR 12 DAYS, AND THEY ARE ALREADY 89 YEARS OLD WHO JUST WANNA VISIT OUR FAMILIES OVERSEAS.

MY QUESTION IS IF THE FIRST RESULT CAME NEGATIVE DO THE EMBASSY STILL NEED TO WAIT FOR THE RESULT OF THE CULTURED SAMPLES BEFORE THEY DECIDE IF THEY'LL APPROVE THE TRV APPLICATION?
OR IF THE 1ST RESULT CAME IN NEGATIVE WOULD THEY ALREADY DECIDE WHETHER TO ISSUE A VISA OR NOT?

Hi all, I'm looking to sponsor my mexican wife to obtain canadian permanent residency. I read contradictory information on residency obligation in Canada and I wish to clarify if we are absolutely required to move back and resettle to Canada immediately after she obtain the permanent residency. On this page (#1) below it says that time spent outside Canada while accompanying a Canadian citizen outside Canada count for the residency obligation and on this page it says that as a sponsor I need to demonstrate or provide evidence, if you are a Canadian citizen living outside of Canada, that you will live in Canada once the person you are sponsoring becomes a permanent resident.

Anyone has been through this process? Is it possible to stay in Australia after obtaining the residency?

#1 cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445ETOC.asp#appendixA
#2 cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp

At this stage, I don't have a precise plan to relocate to Canada (we have a good life in Australia!) but I would like to sponsor my wife so that we can visit whenever we want Canada and possibly relocate some day in the future. Background info is that my wife was previously deported (permanently) from Canada and she can't (as I understand) go back without me sponsoring her (long and complex story).

Turn off the CAPS lock.

Post your question in the Visitor section of the forum.

You will need to show proof that you intend to return. CIC is pretty strict on this rule and will request additional proofs during the process if they aren't satisfied.

If you can't show proof that you are moving back, the app would most likely be refused.

Hello, it is probably a dumb question but I just want to be sure. I'm filling out that generic application form for my wife and in the dependants section she has to put all her dependants. It's saying "you must include all your family members and your spouse". I'm her husband and sponsor so I don't have to be in that section correct? I'm not her dependant. I don't understand why there's a choice for spouse too that's why I'm kinda struggled here

I have sent my PR & OWP application a few week ago. Now I need to apply also for tourist visa (change my current IEC work visa to visitor, In Canada).
I haven't got any answer from CIC yet about PR application, so what you suggest to tell in visitor visa application about a reason to stay?
I have read it could be good to tell truth that I want to stay in Canada with my husband during PR process. But I don't have yet proof about it than receipt about payments.
Have anyone experience about this?
I would like to ask this again and hear advices : ) Do I tell the truth in visitor visa application about wanting to get 1 year TRV (PR&OWP have sent but nothing yet from CIC) ? Or do they think I try to stay in Canada?

Since you have an Inland application and OWP submitted, I think CIC knows that you want to stay in Canada. ;)

I can't imagine why they would deny the visitor extension, but...we ARE talking about CIC.

Hah yes. I assume it is the best thing to tell about Inland application. Do I still need to proof to them that I have strong ties to my home country? Because I don't really have anymore when my school is over and I came here in Canada to work and quit my old job in my home country. I have called to CIC and they have said everything is okay, but I have no trust for them.

And how long TRV visa I should ask? Is 1 year too much?

I noticed haven read through a lot of different people relationship history on various thread CIC only grant PPR to spouses who have children together before applying especially with those applying outland from Africa and other third world countries. Those from first world country usually have their application going through very easy. Also wondering if they grant PPR for common law sponsorship for couples without having any child together?

So is it a good idea to tell about sponsorship application to CIC when applying extension to remain in Canada as a visitor? Can they see it somewhere or should just apply as a "normal" visitor not as PR applicant who want to stay in Canada with legal status?

Oh and about forms. Do I use IMM5708 or IMM5257?

I thought it is IMM5708 to change status from IEC work permit to visitor inside Canada but guide says "You cannot apply for an initial Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) using this application guide. The application for an initial TRV is always made outside Canada and the TRV is issued outside of Canada. "

Hello everyone,

My husband got an email from AVO this morning giving us 30 days to submit additional information to prove the genuity of our relationship. It says he doesn't meet the requirement and is not eligible. What kind of additional documents can we submit? Letters from our pastors back in Nigeria? My pastor here who is aware that i went home last year to get married to the love of my life?

Please I need as many suggestions as I can get. I am tired of this distance.

Thanks

Stop, double posting. Someone already replied u in ur thread.
Gather as many evidence as possible. Send them chats between u and ur spouse after u submitted ur application, all western union receipts, if u have visited her after u put in ur application, send them ur flight tickets as well, letters from family members.

Hope that helps.

All the best.

15-march-2016 applicant have received PPR as per the above post from member 'Msran'.. Basically, PR in less than 2 months..

The way and at speed, NDVO is processing other months currently in comparison to processing speed of May-June-July 2015 months' applicants, it seems that they have left less number of employees working for these 3 months and moved/put majority of employees to process/work on the later months to improve results so that John McCallum can say in public and in parliament that we have reduce processing time for spousal applications significantly and prove that we fulfill our commitment to reduce processing time in family category. The other part is May-June-July 2015 month have highest number of applicants in compare to other months, so it takes time to clear these 3 months.. In order to avoid delay in proving that John McCallum have worked and improved processing time, the senior/leader at NDVO would have taken decision to ignore these 3 months and instructed his/her NDVO staff to start processing later months quickly for improvement of statistical data for Q3, Q4 2015 and Q1 2016. The drama of PPR for all these months, we are seeing here is all about political will and ambitions to prove in front of other political parties and public of Canada.. It is just repetition of Syrian refugees faster processing drama everyone have witnessed and the way they proved that they fulfilled their election commitment of bringing 25,000 Syrian refuges in 2 months..

Hi canuck_in_uk,

I have asked this same question to Zigzag also and I want your opinion also......

I am 100% agreed with you, and thinking for if we can make a group of all applicants those are suffering from this POLITICAL WAR, and can represent our end to the Canadian Government about the unfair policies, which is ruining our life. !!!!!!!!!!?Huh??

I want to ask one more thing is, can GCMS notes effects positive or negative to the application as it makes logged on the file?Huh
Someone was telling me that it will be take long if we are asking GCMS notes and make negative impact over application, is it true?
My view is it will be positive impact that you are knocking their DOORS for your application time by time that it self proves genuine relation and you are caring for your application delay. (If I am a thief, I will never visit Police station by my self. i.e. if we are fraud we do not want their attention so will never ask for status)

Second thing is that MP's are not even helping this kind of applicants as they are having lot of other stuff to work on, Are they rude to applicants??.... Honestly I do not think so because I had gone through lot of posts where the MP office can provide you information and even will keep updated time by time......
Your views on it, just to clarify it please.

Thank you in advance and put your comments please.
