Hi everyone, I am about to submit an application for conjugal partnership. CIC is asking for proof like pictures, my questions are, do I need to put a caption on the back of the pictures? How will they know if the pictures are old and new?

One thing, I was divorced to american, and to prove my status is to submit my divorce certificate, my concern is that, I only have the photocopy of the "True Copy Attest" with the original letter from law firm secretary, stating that the photocopy is true and the original copy was sent to their client, my ex. Will this be sufficient to prove that I am divorced?

Thanks a lot, may we all be successful in everything we do! Good luck everyone!:) ;) ;) ;)

Why are you doing conjugal? Unless you and your partner are legally unable to live together or get married, your application will be denied.

You can add captions on the back if you want. Many people put photos in a Word document with captions underneath, which seems to work well. As far as I know, the divorce certificate photocopy will be fine, but I'm not positive.

If you are legally divorced, then there is no barrier to you getting married to your Canadian partner so for this reason a conjugal app will most likely be rejected.

Hi All,

Can I remove dependent child from application of spouse sponsorship, we dont intend to sponsor the child (spouse daughter) in the future.
but does this affect my spouse immigration application?

Thank you.

1. There is no co-signer possible for spousal applications. That's only for sponsorships that need to meet an MNI. You do need to provide your marriage certificate but you check it off on the country-specific checklist from the immigration forms.

2. If they ask for originals, send the original. You don't want to be delayed by a document request for that if they decide they want it.

1. So I should leave it unchecked on sponsor checklist and only check on country specific checklist?
2. If I submit original, do they give it back? Does any one have experience submitting original documents like grade 10 or voter ID card?

Hi,

I am in a situation which makes me confuse:

My spouse in Canada had changed her Bank Status ( for mortgage process) from single to Married, now the questions are :-

1. Only the Marriage Certificate is required for the process or anything else too?
2. Do they required my income proof from India and Job letter?

Thank you for your help.
Waiting for reply.............

I think they will wonder why a daughter is being left behind... and you never intend to sponsor her? How do you know that in the future she won't want to come to Canada?

Yes, you are correct, but don't forget the country-specific checklist. Some of the forms may not be relevant to you , though, such as the common-law form. You need to spend some time reading the instruction guides.

If you (the sponsor) fill out the "Use of Representative" form, then you can fill out the forms for the applicant, and the applicant just needs to sign them and write in her parts of the relationship proof.

You can put her as "non-accompanying" but you can't remove her from the form completely, as that is misrepresentation. She will still need to get a medical even if non-accompanying.

Hi all, Please suggest.
I am a permanent resident of Canada, married recently(Feb12th 2016). I am still in India because of some family obligations; ;flying in two weeks; will resume my full time job.
Applied for visitor visa for my wife thinking that we can fly together; but got denied; stating reason that immigration officer didn't get convinced that she will return after her TRV expires.
What is the current processing time for PR for spouses. Is there any other way/category I can apply for her?
Please suggest me any way to help my wife to get in to Canada soon
Thanks in avdance

Hi...
Current time is around 17 months.
Check CIC.GC.CA for more update.

As per my knowledge Outland PR application is the only best way to apply.
Prepare your file asap and submit it.
My suggestion is to submit it as you land in Canada.
I am June 17 applicant and waiting...

Best luck.
