FYI- The times shown then (2010) no longer apply. Some things are new (like the Pilot Program OWP for Inland applicants), but the overall explanation of the process is the same.

Actually I did see that but I remember reading a post documenting the specific steps. It started with AOR, SA then file transfer, AOR2 etc

Some people are saying that "in process" is now sort of like AOR2 for Outland applicants.

AFAIK, there is no official AOR2 from CIC...only one when the application has been acknowledged.

oh okay, that is weird. my sponsor status is in processing while my wife's PR is just acknowledged. If it is indeed like an AOR2, then do you which visa office it would be?

i was reading about this program spouse sponsored to sponsor my wife and i found this " As the sponsor, you will agree in writing to support your spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner for three years. If you sponsor a dependent child, you will commit to support the child for three to 10 years, depending on the child’s age" , what this mean that ther is no medical care for my spouse and if i spouse a child ther will no child benefits aids for him !!!

No, that's not what it means. It means that if your spouse goes on welfare, you will be required to pay the government back.

I currently live in Indonesia and after I graduate college (around 1.5 years from now) I want to marry my boyfriend and move to his house in Canada.

I want to marry there, but I need to own a visa to go to Canada.

But to get a visa, I need a reason to go there. Is "I want to marry my boyfriend, and stay in his house in Canada" a valid reason when applying for a visa?

Also, when should I start with the process?

While it is a good reason to visit, that will almost certainly result in a refusal. CIC wants to see that you are a temporary visitor with ties to your home country. I would suggest posting in the visitors section to get an idea of how to increase your chances of getting a TRV.

Your question has already been answered. All it means is that if either of them go on welfare, the government will force you to pay this money back. It doesn't mean anything more than that.

That would be right because they are working on your file if you are eligible as a sponsor and if you are, the next step is they would work on the application of the person being sponsored.

But that stage is NOT AOR2.

My Medical is going to expire on Jan-28, 2016.

I'm waiting for remed request.

My question is: once the remed request is received. After completion of remed .....do we need to update to CIC by email or my mail or by another way that remed test is completed?
Please help me.

Hi there, my spousal sponsorship application was received by case processing center on 13 January 2016. normally need to take how long to get the acknowledgement from the CIC?
