Hi
Please i want to know when i pay the PPRFonline after they request it should i send something to Mississauga or to my VOto notify them that i paid it and how i send it by e-mail?
Thanks

It must be sent to CPC-M. You should be able to submit it in writing, via FAX or e-mail. If you send it in writing, send it to the same address as used for the original application.

It is also a good idea to send a copy to the visa office, but it is CPC-M that must update the file to indicate that the RPRF has been paid.

Hi,
I have a dilemma about extension of spouse open work permit. The rules are not very clearly stated on CIC website and creates confusion.
I already have open work permit and has started working here in canada.

My situation is:
My husband's study permit expiry: 30 Nov 2014
My passport expiry: 27 Oct 2014
My work permit expiry: 27 Sep 2014
I will be applying for passport renewal here and will get by May 2014.
My husband will apply for an off-campus work permit in June2014 through which he will get off-campus WP till Dec 2014. He will apply for an actual Work permit once he receives his transcripts in Oct 2014 approximately.

Question is:
2) How and when do I apply for extension so that it comes before my WP expiry? Do i apply for one extension after I get new passport which hopefully get me a WP till Nov 2014. and Then apply with my husband in Oct 2014 for another extension?

I am really confused and cannot find any answers online. I would like to know if you can help me. Do let me know.
Also, can I apply for PR during this time? Is it valid?

Dev

Hello Everyone,

We finally got our application approved :D
I have a couple questions with regards to "activating" the Canadian residence. My husband is a US Citizen, and has been living in Canada for the last 5 months. I understand he needs to leave the country and then enter again.
My questions are:
Is he going to be able to do it in one day? Are there any documents/information he needs to show at the border? Any other recommendation will be appreciated.

FYI, This is our timeline:
Application received: May 30th, 2013
Medical Exam: April 30th, 2013 (upfront)
Approval of Sponsor: June 28th, 2013
Visa Office: CPC-Ottawa
Interview: exempt
Approved: February 11th, 2014

Thank you!

Post your question to either the Foreign Workers or International Students section of this forum. This section of the forum is for Canadians who are sponsoring family members for PR.

When did CIC-M get your package? If it was before March 2012, then you aren't held to that law. They might approve you. It's really more of a personal call than a professional/immigrational call. They may not even give you an answer until after you are eligible, so all the worrying will be for naught! :) Good luck!!!

Thank you parker24 for your reply and for the positive feedback... I feel so much better now.
CIC-M received my package as per ECAS Sept 27 2012. It was after Mar 2012 unfortuantly.

ASyed :D

Hi I'm pretty new to this and was looking for some guidance

My girlfriend is Chinese and our wedding ceremony will be in August.

We have already dated for the past four years while we were studying in University and have decided to finally tie the knot. I am a Canadian citizen and she is currently on a graduate work permit (working here in Canada and living with me) until April 2016.

I don't want to separate with her at all, so I am not sure whether to apply for an inland or outland application? Can anyone please give me some guidance when the time comes?

Hello everyone, i hAve few doubts regarding spousal sponsorship.
I have applied for FSWP 2013 (single) and the visa office have asked for RPRF. Hopefully if im getting my PR , i am thinking of getting married and taking my hubby along with me.
So my doubts is that can i immediately apply for family class sponsorship as soon as i get married or do i need to wait for some period and also do i need to land canada before applying for sponsorship or is it possible tat i apply outland and travel inbetween d process ???

Just to be clear; I need a police clearance from the state(s) I have resided in for the last six months, AND I also need a police clearance through the FBI. I remember seeing the info for the FBI clearance but now can't find it.

Thanks for the quick fix answer :)

No - you don't need State certificates. State certificates are sometimes requested by CIC - but this is rare and CIC will request them after the application has been submitted if they need them.

You do however need the FBI certificate:
