So I am applying inland for spousal sponsorship PR....Sending it out in beginning of September. My question is when it comes to paying the fees do I pay for Spousal Sponsorship or for Permanent Residence also as they are listed seperatly....i am on visitors which expires September 30th....should I apply for an extension too?? Btw any idea where I should send my application?? I live in Windsor Ontario.

If you want fastest processing, pay all the fees up front - $1040 ($75 + $475 + 490 - sponsor/applicant/RPRF). If you don't care about speed of processing, you can pay just the application fees ($75 + $475) and wait until they ask for the RPRF. It adds 2-4 months onto the process.

Good luck!

Hey is there a backlog of cases at vegreville. My file was transferred to Vancouver-BRO after getting AIP but no DM

Hello, is here anybody who sent a sponsorship
On march, 2013 from within Canada, ( applicant and sponsor living in Canada)

Just to compare our case and give us some support :)

-Marianna.

Here is a thread for 2013 Inland applicants.

There is also a spreadsheet, but I'm not sure who is in charge anymore.

Did you list your status on your work permit as common law?

Hello, nothing happens until yesterday ( 5months later )
I just could check with my client ID number and it says
"Application recieved"

My husband call the call centre and they give to him his client ID number ( witch is supposed to be sended
In a acknowledgement letter bit that didn't happens)
So we recieved our AOR by phone.

I just checked with his client number but nothing appear
And yesterday finally something, says application
For sponsorship "in process" and application for permanent residence
"Recieved"

* check the status online with you husband
Client number, and probably you will see something.

At least you have peace that somebody is reviewing you app.

:)

Hello Guys/Gals,

I am new to this forum and I need your advise regarding spousal sponsorship program.
I came to Canada in Sept 2009 and then got a degree. Later I applied in the PNP program
and got my permanent residence(PR) in April 2013. I was employed in an IT company since
July 2011 and when I became PR I qucikly resigned from my job and head back to my country
as I wanted to spend some time with my family. I am in Pakistan since May 2013 and will be
coming back to Canada by the end of this month.

*Note I had a stable job since July 2011 and never have been unemployed till the time I resigned.

During my stay in Pakistan I got married . Now my question to you guys is that when I will
return to Canada I wont have a job immediately. It might take a month or 2 get a decent job
again. So can I apply for my wife immediately or should I get a job first and then apply?
I want to add one more point I have been filing all my taxes every year since I have arrived.

Do you guys think I am eligble?
Should I take the help of a lawyer? (They are quite expensive and I will use one as a last resort)

Waiting anxiously for your replies

Bye!!!

You don't need a lawyer. I think it is better that you wait until you have a job though. Your wife can use the time to prepare your application. She will need to fill out a lot of forms for her background history. She can mail you these to Canada. She will need police clearances and medicals. You will need proof of your relationship as well.

Leon good day, pls I have a question to ask, am a nigeria the office processing our application is @ accra,my hubby applied for PR for me then we later had a baby and included her in my application we sent all other document including CQS since april this year. I have a question. The scenario is like this: I'm a Pakistani national currently residing in Singapore, hence i want my visa office of that in Singapore. So when I'm filling part 3 of the immigration forms, which is "Country Specific Instructions", do i fill out the package of General Asia, which is for Pakistan, or do I fill the package that is for Singapore, considering each package has a different set of forms.

Thank you :)
