We are all in the same boat. Sponsorship for me took 5 months. File transferred 3 months ago. Processing times have increased to 12 months in the time my application was submitted and I've seen applications sent 2 months after mine get completed.
Nothing has changed on ECAS and by the time it does you have been notified via email or letter.

I wish there was better news for all of us.

I'm a sponsorship applicant.
Your cousin was lucky.
I'm not sure how the interview process works. Better to ask anyone other than Tuyen. His advice is not well informed. Computergeek is a good source.

The interview location will be your visa office location. So if your visa office was Singapore (there's no visa office in Bangladesh), then you'll have to go there for an interview if they request one. CIC will not change interview locations just because you moved. If they did that as a policy, they'd be spending half their daily hours chasing people to figure out where they're currently living and what their preferred interview location would be.

If they require an interview, they will tell you exactly what date and what location it will be.

More time to wait. They increased the processing time from 8 months to 12 months.

I just seen the processing time is now 12 months in manila and in canada they are still processing spousal approvals from nov 20 now my application was received dec 10 so i still have to wait 20 more days before they get to mine. oh well, it is wht it is im going to visit in april to be with my wife on our 1st aniversary.

If you were lawfully admitted to the UK for more than 12 months, you could have requested processing through the London office and the interview would have been done there (if an interview was required).

My understanding is that Bangladesh is an example of a country where the CIC officers actually do "field interviews" - they travel to a location in Bangladesh and schedule multiple interviews there over a course of days or weeks. Such interviews are only conducted periodically and you will be notified of the time and location of the interview. If you cannot make that interview time, you will need to reschedule with them and you may need to wait 6-12 months for another interview - depending upon their frequency of visiting for interviews.

Yes, I know. But he wasn't coming from Pakistan, and therefore the numbers and instructions that applied to YOU will not apply to HIM.
