The posted times are for 80% of all applications processed. So it's not guaranteed that yours will take 26 months. You could get lucky and be done in just a fraction of that time - especially if you sent in a completed application with no mistakes, no missing documents, and paid all the fees.

In addition to what Tuyen said, there's probably a Singapore spreadsheet floating around that would give you a better idea of the actual processing time for most Singapore applicants.

Ok, read that, thank you. I noticed there is no mention of vaccinations. Are there none that are mandatory to have or get after you are here?
There are mandatory vaccinations for children only depending on what province you live in.

It's not mandatory when they allow you to opt out.

The open data project provides a listing entitled "Permanent Resident Applications Processed Abroad and Processing Times" (you can use that as a search term to find the current version of the table). This includes the underlying data for the figure on the CIC website.

For Singapore:

20% of applications are done in 8 months
30% of applications are done in 10 months
50% of applications are done in 15 months
70% of applications are done in 20 months
80% of applications are done in 23 months

This was for "Spouse & Partners" (the time goes up for "Spouse, Partners & Children").

So if you have a straight-forward application with no issues, you can look at the 50% time as being more indicative of what you will likely experience.

Thats a conditional exemption. There are fines associated for none compliance though they aren't strictly enforced.

The fact that they even had the audacity to pass legislation allowing the government to impose a fine on someone is outrageous, and I'm surprised nobody has challenged it in court yet. Or if they have, I'm not aware of it. But the bottom line is that any penalty associated with opting out should be instantly ruled illegal because it contravenes rights and freedoms guaranteed by the constitution.

It would be like some idiot politician trying to pass a law that fines people for being of a certain religion. The constitution clearly says you have the right to practice whatever religion you want, or to not be religious at all, and then some moron comes along and says, "Well...you can still choose whatever religion you want - we're not trying to take that away from you - but if you choose religion "x", then we're going to fine you $1000 for it".

Hello!

I just have a question regarding the documents I need to send. I am applying for the permanent residence inside Canada; I was born in Venezuela but raised in Mexico and have mexican residence. Do I have to include my residence letter from mexico? I'm sending my birth certificate and mexican passport.

Highly appreciate ur brilliant reply.....
u replied me before aswell to a different spreadsheet ..thanks again computrgreek...... :)

But u know what my mind can not pass an hour even without thinking about my application .....it's too hard to wait for unknown destination ....
the timing process of step 1 i mean sponser approved was too quick for me ..it took only 9 days from Canada visa office than it took 3 days to transfered my file to singapore......but now its been more than 3 monthes with nooo update except ******application received and medical results received ********from Singapore visa office...........

Too terrible feelingssss....... :(
