Thank you so much for great info, I really appreciate ur time & help. Over all my all document all fully complete may be thats the reason Canadian embassy transfer in 30 days? only think I feel is police clearance, I didnt send Saudi Arabia one I submit pakistani one because my husband is pakistani national do u think they will ask me for Saudi one too? One more thing I want to ask you once they will call my husband for interview he have to go Abu Dhabi office or they will send file in Saudi Arabia office I am confuse. :'(.
If your husband has lived in KSA for 6 months or longer, he will need a police clearance certificate. You have a file number (it's in the sponsorship approval letter) so you should submit that PCC along with a copy of your sponsor approval letter (or a cover letter noting the file number and your names) to the Abu Dhabi office. Normally, interviews are conducted at the visa office, but I do see provisions for conducting them elsewhere, so if he cannot travel to the UAE (e.g., a visa issue) they could conduct it at the Embassy in Riyadh.

Hopefully you won't need an interview.

I can only point you at the CIC website here. I have followed its links to the KSA information and I know it is there, but I've never requested a PCC from KSA.

Dear leon,
You have been such a great help...I just had 2 more questions...
I read this the otherday on the CIC website...

Note: As of February 6, 2012, sponsors and applicants for Permanent Residence are asked to complete both the new Application to sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) form and the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008). Sponsors and applicants are encouraged to complete the forms electronically and validate the information to generate 2D barcodes before printing. To ensure you have the most recent application forms, please use the link to the application forms.

Does this mean I (the sponsor) have to fill out application (IMM 0008) too?...and my spouse application (IMM 1344) aswell?

also....as for the payments I have to pay the $455 for processing and the other $555 for perminate residency...is that the total I have to pay for myself and my spouse or is it more?
Just alittle confused about those 2 things....please get back to me, I am very close to sending the application in!

thanking you in advance,

MargoS

No. The sponsor fills out the 1344 and the applicant the 0008 is all.

The fees are:

$75 for sponsor
$475 for applicant

So: $550 for the application

$490 for the applicant to land (Right of Permanent Residence Fee)

$1040 total. You can defer the $490 fee until they request it, but it will add some delay to the process.

I did my medical exam, and the doctor told me that it shouldn't take along time to send result to the CIC.I did my physical exam with the principal doctor,he gave me two other forms with my photo on them and he sent me different places for blood test and x-ray.So he told that he will have to wait for 7 days for all the result to get together and it will take 10 or 15 days for them (CIC) to receive it.
What do you think about that?any thoughts will be really appreciate my friend, thank you.

Hi ComputerGeek, I had a quick question for you. Once my file is finally touched by someone at Ottawa since it's been so long from the time I applied and Buffalo's initial review. what items will they ask me to redo ? Are the items below the only items that can be asked to be redone ? Thank you as always for your time and expertise. Is there any benefit in me going ahead and doing this now before they ask for it or do I risk the possibility of them not even asking for anything ? Let me know.

1. Medical Exam (Normally expires after 1 year but can be extended at the discretion of officer)
2. FBI Certificate
3. RCMP Clearance

Thanks,

That sounds about right. I can tell you exact dates for my last medicals.

- Exam date: 6 February 2012
- Submission to CIC IMS: 14 February 2012
- Entered into IMS system: 6 March 2012
- Results added to my immigration file: 6 March 2012
- Letter written by immigration medical officer indicating I am medically admissible: 16 March 2012

I have the rather unusual ability to comment on dates because I have a complete copy of my medical file, including date stamps, and I can see the results posted to my CAIPS notes.

(1) They can only request extension if it has been 15 months or less since your original medical exam. So if it has been more than 15 months, you'll have to get a new exam. It's ok to get one, certainly, and it shouldn't slow anything down.

(2) This one is iffy - if you are in Canada they wouldn't normally require a new one. But again, getting a new FBI PCC won't hurt your case.

(3) This shouldn't be necessary a second time.

My spouse has sent the Passport to NDVO and with them for 3 weeks now. In the meantime, his internal company transfer has come through and is asked to join from 7th Jan 2013. We are planning to send an email to NDVO. You think, it would be ok to do that with the situtation explained???

Thanks

Absolutely - make the situation absolutely clear to them. Of course, getting the passport back to them for visa issuance will be an interesting challenge - do you have someone there willing to forward it to them? That Indian prohibition about sending a passport outside the country is painful.

Hi Computergeek, thank you for the message. It's extremely helpful. My Medical was originally done in October of 2011 so 15 months would be Jan of 2013. I hope they do give the extension to me and approve it in the next month or so. I will just wait for them to request it and then do it as it's so expensive to get it done. Same with the FBI Clearance as if they ask for it, I will get it done and it appears the RCMP piece does not require to be redone in most cases. I have been patient with their help desk as they had emailed me on 10/17/2012 telling me I should hear within the next 2 months from an agent and well next week will be 11/17/2012 and I haven't bothered them with any more emails so hopefully my patience will payoff. Thanks for all your expertise.

When I land, we plan on living in Canada immediately. Thus, we are taking/shipping all of our things with us. It will be two adults and two kids under two. Wife is citizen, kids are of course citizens by birth.

On the B4 and B4a, will we have to list each individual clothing item for each person? So count up every piece of clothing for four people? (daunting)

Or can we say, Clothing for me= $$$$?, Clothing for her= $$$$? etc

Also, every dish, glass, fork, spoon, knife, pots, pans, I mean like wow.
