dear seniors...
as my brother just land 2 months before.. i want to put a ques that can above link affect his spouse sponsorship.. as we were thinking about his marriage in next august-september... how much time it will take to sponsor a spouse.. is this 5 year????????? as i read in above link that new immigrant may take years to sponsor his spouse... plzzz reply...

Sir/Ma'am based on the link I read and base on my understanding that 5years of sponsorship of spouse is only for those second time of marriage and sponsoring a new wife for the second time around. If their first marriage doesn't work out being together.

And the processing of Spousal Sponsorship is case to case basis . Some got their VISA easily.

For sponsoring a first wife that link is not the right one . Sponsoring a spouse commonly takes only months. Here's the link below that you might need for more info. Sir/Ma'am:

Yes, It's all good.

New here. Just completed medical and was told that since I have high blood pressure that I would need to go to a specialist for a detailed report. I was under the impression that since this was a spousal sponsorship I am excess demand exempt and this should not be required.

Anyone have thoughts or experience with this issue?

It's not required, but it's a good idea to get it checked up on, for healthy living :)

Hi, I am sponsoring my husband Outland. Do we need to send his medical exam in the first stage with the whole application? I was under the impression that we should....

Hi everybody .....

I sponsored my wife on jan 24th 2012 ...... Now the file is in NEW DELHI and my wife has already submitted her passport since july 2012 .. she got a call in september from CIC ND saying the RPRF receipt is missing in the file and she was told that she should get the clients copy of the RPRF receipt from me and send it to them via mail. Sine then ecas says "In Process " . SO we sent it to them via bluedart courier within next 2 days and received a confirmation from the courier company but still nothing has changed .. I"ve sent them a general enquiry email 2 weeks later and got a reply saying that they were still waiting for the receipt and was told to send a scanned copy via Case Specific Enquiry , which I did right away and still nothing changed.. now the"ve stopped replying to the general enquiries too ... ...

I am in a very confused and worried state right now.., Most of the January applicants have allready received there visas .... and here I am still waiting ...
Is there a way an MP can help me out since it"s been almost 3 months since we had sent the passport to ND or is there another way out that I can use to gather info on my file .. ?

any kind of advice will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks
Regards to all.

Couple of questions---

We received our "copies of passports" request on Oct 19th from Ottawa and we emailed them the information the same day. Our question is how long now?

Also, once we do receive the documentation to land, how long do we have before we have to travel to Canada to land? Once we do land, how long do we have before we have to move to Canada?

TIA!

Hi Everyone...can anyone or would anyone has an idea if it will be possible for me to visit or apply for a spouse visitor visa while my application for PR(spouse visa) is still queued for review by the VO? If yes, how can I pull out my passport from the Manila Embassy? Thanks

Your PR visa is usually valid until your medicals expire or until your passport expires whichever happens sooner. The medicals expire when they are 1 year old. You must land before your PR visa expires.

As a PR, you may be outside Canada for up to 1095 days in any 5 year period. You could therefore leave after you land and be outside Canada for up to 3 years but if you do, you will have to stay for 2 years straight when you return.
