I would like to send my application now either using UPS or Canada Post Express with tracking.
Do I send it to the 2 Robert Speck address???

And should I have it labelled as SPONSORSHIP: SPOUSAL
Case Processing Centre- Mississauga

I believe UPS needs a physical address and Canada Post you can use either address...and yes that is how you address the envelope!!

Ok then maybe I'll go with Canada Post and send to Robert Speck, that way I don't have to worry about sending it to the wrong address!

Hi Leon. I'd like to know how long we could expect to wait for our childrens Proof of Citizenship to come through. It was sent off from the London VO to Nova Scotia at the beginning of July, and they did mark it as Urgent for expidited processing. My husband has been approved as Sponsor, and I'm expecting my PR to come through in a couple of months, so we plan to Land after Christmas. Our worry is that if the childrens Citizenship isn't back, we wont be able to get them into schools.
Would a Study Visa remedy this? We spoke to the LVO who confirmed that there is no way to track their applications.
Your thoughts would be very appreciated.

I have heard of people getting expedited citizenship cards in 1-2 months but nobody can really know for sure. You should have them before December in any case.

Wait wait wait. Canada Post MUST be the PO Box!!! Just want to make that very clear. UPS, Fed Ex etc, must be the Robert Speck.

Can anyone please reply. I had to re-do my medicals and PCC. It's been almost 11 months i have filed my application. Will CIC New Delhi review my application all over again? Or do they just review medical reports? It feels like I've been waiting forever. It's been really depressing. Long distance marriage can be so stressful ! Someone please help and reply.

they will only review the new medical reports, they dont need to redo your whole app.
Also the medicals and police checks are usually they very last thing they do before finalizing, so you should be hearing something very soon after they receive the results
we were recently requested for redo medicals aswell.

Blondie. Is that 5 months including time at your VO, or after it was sent by them to Canada?

hi, i'm in angst, not knowing what to do. Could someone please enlighten me what I should do in this case:

I am actually singaporean and Australian PR applying for Canadian PR (spouse). I've been living in Sydney for the past 4 year so naturally i put Sydney office for my stage 2 application.
I read the Sydney office thread and realised someone there who was an Indian citizen and Australian PR, also initially putting Sydney office had his application transferred to New Dehli office because of his citizenship.
Now if my application gets transferred to Singapore office the wait would be 21 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I certainly don't want that happen, but what can i do if that happens?
And at the meantime, I have been approved for Australian citizenship. Since Singapore doesn't allow dual citizenship it means I will have to give up my S'pore passport once my Australian citizenship takes place - i'm still waiting for DIAC to schedule my citizenship ceremony but it hasn't been scheduled. Should I write to Sydney visa office once my stage 1 is approved to hold on to my files in Sydney because I will give up my S'pore passport very soon? will it work that way?

any thoughts/insights are welcome!

Hi Minie,

From my understanding and someone can correct me if I'm mistaken..... I was informed that you have a choice if you are residing in Oz to use sydney as a VO. As long as you have been legally allowed to reside in OZ. Along with with passport data page you should have included a copy of your PR visa with your application.
cheers

Was this persons file already in Sydney and they transferred it to New Delhi or did Mississauga send it there? I know of one case of a German woman living in Canada who wanted to apply through the US because it was faster and in her case it was Mississauga that sent her file to Germany instead. It is possible that it was a mistake because as a legal resident, you do have the right to get processing in your country of residence but it is pretty hard to get files moved between visa offices once they end up somewhere. Where is your file now? If you have not yet applied or your file is still in Mississauga, you should write a letter to clarify that you have picked Sydney as your visa office because you will soon be granted Australian citizenship and then you will lose the Singaporean one. If you have some letters from Australian immigration stating you have applied for citizenship, you can send a copy of that as well. If your file is already in Sydney, I think it is unlikely that they will transfer it somewhere else but you can send a letter to them in that case that you have heard that files have been transferred and do not want that for your file because of the above reason.
