I have my COPR and moving to Canada in 2 weeks. I will be getting married in India in September and plan to apply Outland Spousal sponsorship. I went through various other posts and understand the timeline it takes for Spousal PR from AOR to PPR. My only question is that would my spouse be eligible to apply for visitor visa after getting AOR?
My goal is to ensure spouse is able to move to Canada as soon as possible. What would you think would be the timeline from application submission to getting a visitor visa? Would it be the time taken to get AOR + TRV processing time?

Your spouse is 'eligible' to apply for a visitor visa at any time.

It SEEMS that those applying after AOR will be covred by the 'family reunification' policies for TVRs announced some time ago. That said, even that policy doesn't guarantee that a TVR will be gratned, nor in what timeframe. So no-one can answer your question, really.

I got her birth certificate from the Indian consulate in Canada while my spouse was visiting me in canada on tourist visa. They provide the birth certificate on the basis of verifying the passport. timeline is approx 3 weeks through BLS Canada. It might be faster incase you approch the Indian consulate directly.

Hello Everyone
I have a question regarding my outline process for my wife

I submitted on April 5th 2024
AOR on April 19th
Since April 19th there is no any update.
It’s almost 2 month and half, should I be worried?
Or is that normal.
thanks

Hello everyone,

I haven't gotten AOR yet. But today I got an email from IRCC for requesting additional documents.
My question is, on that email, there's application nine numbers start with "XF".
Is it my application number?? or I will get AOR with application number after I submitted additional documents ???

XF is traditionally a temporary number, they will drop the X and the rest will be application number.

I haven't heard them doing it this way before but there's a sort of logic, if you don't submit, they can return it (without refusing).
