Are you talking about a visitor visa or a permanent residency sponsorship?

I'm assuming PR Sponsorship. It doesn't matter how long your relationship was as long as you have evidence showcasing that your relationship is genuine i.e. can you demonstrate via phone bills, photographs, emails, visits, gifts that you had have been in a relationship for that long? How did you meet / how did you propose / what your ceremonies were. You'll need this neciely documented for your application.
Yup PR sponsorship! I sent a lot of photos esp during and after the wedding but we dont have that muchphotos before we got married. Our relationship is mostly long distance. Other proofs that I sent were screenshots of Facebook and Skype chat logs, joint bank account, remittance slips, plane ticket when he got here to marry me, letters with postal stamps. Our relationship is true but I'm afraid that the proofs I sent were insufficient. Thanks for answering my query singhjag =)

Where did everyone get their immigration photo's? I'm nervous to go somewhere and they mess it up for me... I know their sort of an odd ball dimension and requirement. Or am I just best to go somewhere like black's photo in Canada?

Thanks.

One more thing, if my sponsor/husband is not approved as a sponsor technically can you even be approved for permanent residency? Just making sure I know what box to check ! :)

If your sponsor is not approved, it is not worth going forward .So tick the box to withdraw. Then you can work on your application a bit more and apply again.

Not likely at all. However, if you choose to discontinue at that point you cannot appeal the rejection of the sponsor. If you continue and they reject the applicant because the sponsor was rejected, you can appeal to IAD (and/or request JR in Federal Court). So, you preserve the ability to appeal but lose the balance of the application fee.

When we applied, I made sure to check the "continue" box. I was perfectly ready to wrangle (again) with CIC if needed to stay with my spouse.

I am a very new member but i don't agree with going forward .I would try again.Just because you have been denied once it doesn't mean you will again.Unless your sponsor is or have been on welfare recently then their is a good chance he will be denied, otherwise i excepted as a sponsor he will be just fine.

HI Friends,
I am so scared , plz help me.
I do have a question. I got marry in dec 2012 and sponsored my husband in starting 2013 but for some reasons we got separate and I withdraw file within one month and I got my money back too. We both had issues bcz of parents. Our parents are from back old style mentality, they wanted him to get pr on his own basis means mpnp manitoba. But then we start living together after resolving everything after 3 months. Now when he is ready for mpnp, then they are saying I have to sponsor him bcz he already has spouse in Canada. So I would like to know how to deal with these things. If I would sponsor him in may again, there would be any issues or not. I want him to work in Canada as his visa is expiring in June 2014 and he is the only one who earns. I want him to stay here with me. Plz I need some suggestions. No one Visa counselor suggesting anything. Plz help.
Thanks Sad

Sorry for the bombarding post's recently, I'm expecting my FBI check to come back within the next few days-this is all I need correct? Not this AND police clearance? No big deal if I need both, but just making sure it's not forgotten.

Hi All Experienced Members,

Please I need your help, Which Application for should I fill for my wife Dependent, who is in Canada for Work Permit.

My wife's application for PR is in progress though we had first stage about a year ago. CIC claimed to be doing background checks for almost a year now. Her Daughter in High School is now 17yrs old. She needs a work permit. Her mother has a work permit right now.
Please would you let me know which form I should complete for her for this process? I have tried CIC Website I don't know which form is applicable. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

POLICAP

I think you'll be fine. Just maintain a similar log going forward in case you're required to provide additional evidence or during an interview. I was in the same boat - long distance relationship; not a lot of photos before wedding. However, a consultant I spoke with wanted a minimum of 30 pictures per wedding ceremony showing lots of people who attended. It's too bad we have to go to extreme lengths to justify a genuine relationship because some people have abused the system. Good luck.

You are absolutely correct and just to be on the safe side please separate your picture in category as Bride Mother, Bride Father, Bride sister/brothers, Groom Mother/Father/Brothers/sisters and relatives.

Also, 30 pictures is a little to less if you can at least have 100 pictures in groups, alone, with family, guests and also if you go some outings also.
