If your husband is on a normal closed work permit, as long as you included an OWP application with the inland application he is covered by implied status. Otherwise, CIC posts 11 months for AIP, so you would get approval around November. If you decided to wait for AIP to file for the work permit, then he is not covered by implied status and must stop working when his work permit expires (unless he can obtain renewal some other way) and you should figure January 2015 for the OWP.Racheltaylor said:Hi All,
I sent out my husband's inland sponsorship application at the beginning of this month which was received by CIC-vegreville on January 13, 2014. How long does it take to know our has been approved in principle? My husband's work permit will be expired on August 29. Do you think we have time to apply the open work permit?
Thanks
