We have the same situation, my wife as sponsor is in canada and already started the process, i am wondering what is the time limit that she can spend out of canada while sponsorship application is in progress.

Is your wife also a PR of Canada? If she is...the same would apply; only short trips outside of Canada, but even those are not really recommended.

Yes she is the PR of canada, so it means they will cancel the sponsorship application if she spend some months out of canada?

Yes - they could very well cancel/refuse the application. She should limit her trips to three weeks.

The criminal records check should be fine. It can't be more than 3 months old by the time CIC receives it.

Thank you MilesAway, but what does 'receive it' mean?
Does it mean it can't be more than 3 months old by the moment they get my package in CIC Mississauga or by the moment they open my package in CIC (and give me the AOR at the same time)?
Please help.

I was wondering if someone could give me a little advise please.

I'm from England and my girlfriend is Canadian... we've been together for nearly 2 years and living together in England since January this year. She's here on a working visa for 2 years but will be going back to her job in January 2016 because she'll lose her Canadian job.

We believe our future is Canada but i'm unsure when we can start the Spousal Sponsorship... Can we start it now or when we've lived together for a year and classed a common-law?

Thanks for your help in advance... Marcus

If you are going to apply under commonlaw they yes you will need to live together for a full 12 months and have various proof of combined financial affairs such as joint bank accounts, rental leases, or insurance policies. Also mail addressed to the same residence is helpful. Or you can opt to get married and apply immediately afterwards. The best way to clear up any questions you may have it to follow the Outland London thread and look for posts from members Schnookoloy or andrewbrit, they have excellent links in their signature for FAQ and the London spreadsheet. Good luck :)

Thank you DanSlh

Does the IMM 5481 have to be signed? There is no space for a signature or date.
Do I have to translate my Polish ID and does my wife have to translate her Polish PR card?

Please help.

Yes he is in the application, and is noted why he is not coming with me ( mother have custody), but my question is if I need to add his passport picture to the application

IMM 5481 does not need to be signed.
If you are including Polish PR in your Application it need to be translated and Certified.

Good day sa lahat...

Meron ba ditong nakakaalam kung ilang days pinaka madali sa pagkuha ng canadian passport ng baby? Hindi na kasi pwedeng e-extend yung validity ng visa namin dahil naka booked na kami ng ticket. Meron bang may alam nito? Need help here kung ilang days ba talaga pinakamadaling process ng canadian passport.

Supposed to be its 21 days processing here in manila...but if u request for earlier pwede naman..basta pakita mo lang ang ticket nyo.

Hey,

Need a small help - a question. Do we receive an email for the decision for sponsorship approval or does it come thru the regular mail only.

I got the AOR for spousal application by e-mail a couple of weeks ago. Now the e-CAS says 'Decision Made' with a line stating that a letter has been mailed to my home address. So no e-mail this time? CPC Mississauga process the sponsorship application.

Pls help.
