- Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. I am sorry I had given you a wrong info about my PR issued date. My PR was Issued on the 22 December 2011 which was mentioned on the back side of the card and it expires on 15 February 2017. I have already stayed in Canada for 94 days before I left for good to India. Even If I come to Canada by end of May 2015 I will be able to fulfill the 730 days without any issue if I stay until the expiry date mentioned on the PR card.canuck_in_uk said:You will be able to enter Canada but face the risk of being reported on entry for not meeting the RO. Most PRs that don't meet the RO are able to enter without being reported but there is always the possibility. If you are reported, unless you can show strong H&C grounds for being unable to meet the RO, your PR status will be revoked.
If you aren't reported, you can then stay in Canada for 2 full years until you once again meet the RO and renew your PR.
Your credit score will not affect anything to do with CIC. However, be responsible and pay your debt. If you couldn't afford to pay it, you shouldn't have spent it in the first place.
You will not be able to apply sponsor your wife and son until you once again meet the RO, so 2 full years after entering Canada if you aren't reported. If you apply before you meet the RO, you can expect the app to be refused and your PR status to be revoked.
There is very little chance that they will be approved for TRVs, as CIC will see them as very high risk to overstay with you in Canada.
As I said above, you cannot apply to sponsor them until you once again meet the RO.
Being able to meet the RO has nothing to do with the expiry date of your PR card. For someone to meet the RO when they've been a PR for less than 5 years, they must spend 730 days in Canada in the 5 years immediately after the LANDING DATE. If you landed Dec 22nd, 2011 and spent 94 days here, you would have had to enter Canada about 5 days ago to be able to meet the RO.DNP said:- Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. This is correct. You will have to return to Canada and live for 2 straight years in Canada before you will be able to sponsor your family for PR. If you apply any sooner, their application will be refused and you will lose your PR status.canuck_in_uk said:Being able to meet the RO has nothing to do with the expiry date of your PR card. As you do NOT MEET THE RO, my previous advice in regards to sponsoring your family stands.
