April 2021. Pre arrival and DM first week of November 2021 then we heard nothing for 3 months. Finally got the request today.

Since they're not issuing anything to the canadian citizen, no, not needed.

How do we deliver the passport to the visa office? I see options for one way courier for them to deliver the passport back to us, but no information on how to send the passport to them on vfsglobal.

Yes there have been PPRs recently from LVO.

Just want to confirm, FRC is the family certificate, right? I am not there so hopefully, that's not a problem. Hopefully, my wife can get it without me being there!

FRC can be apply online (no need to visit NADRA office) and within 24 hours you will get by email in PDF format.

only requirement is digital photo (who ever is applying online)
