Hi Guys,
Can anyone kindly guide me about the Police Certificate? My son is in the process of filing spousal sponsorship under Family Class. Is the Police certificate required for all family members of sponsored (Principal Applicant) or just for the spouse and any accompanying family member of 18 years of age?
The guide states:
Police certificates
The principal applicant and each family member 18 or older (who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents), must
submit police certificates from the following country or countries with the application

Just the principal applicant and any accompanying children 18 years or older. 'Family members' for immigration purpose is spouse and kids, not parents/siblings.

You don’t need to get those docs attested for spousal sponsorship! As long as they’re all in English, you’re fine

thank you, what about the cnic? my husband's cnic is in English but the back of it its all in urdu, he said the Ministry of foreign affairs dont attest nadra issued cnic , should we still get it attested? Also another question in the checklist which option do i choose if the sponsor is in canada and the principal applicant is in pakistan, is it:
I am currently living outside Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class. OR

I am currently living in Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class (not under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada

I believe its the first option as it applies to princiap applicant but my husband thinks its the 2nd option ..so a bit confused here

First of all, don’t worry .
If you submitted in Jan , you should be hearing something soon .
Secondly , A few 2nd marriage cases here, reading what you’ve provided them , it’s more than enough to prove that your marriage is “ genuine” as per their standards.
You may get PFL asking questions or maybe interview. No big deal, this forum is here to help you .
Just relax and tackle one thing at a time . Don’t stress out . It may take 8 months to 12 months to complete.

Also if you would like to join our Pakistani Spousal sponsorship Facebook page , you are most welcome.
Wat is the page name?
