Just received an email that they want to interview my spouse. The date is set for Nov 22.

Don't really get it since we were in BGC, I thought that was the last step.

This is so weird...... I was under the impression that if BGC started then it meant eligibility was passed and hence no interview.

Any doc requests for you or just straight interview?

No Just straight interview. The interview letter mentions about bringing additional proofs but they didn't ask for anything before.

At least it's soon... It seems people wait months just in interview queue.

Update: Today I received the PPR. Alhamdulillah!
Question: I did my medical on Oct. 15, 2016. Which would make my medical expire. Although they havent said anything about remed. Can anyone please shed some light for me in this situation?

Congratulations! :) mmoin is right, they might have extended your medical. Rejoice the good news and leave else!

This is strange and second case where after BGC in process, interview is asked.

Many congrats, spreadsheet updated.

Since you reside out of Pak, they have most probably extended your medical. Once you receive the visa stamp, look for the "valid to" date. This is the date by which you will have to land in Canada.

So many people are getting interview requests for the next month and it seems like random case files are picked, may be it depends on VO.

Hopefully they finish off the 2015-2016 cases this year.

Spreadsheet updated. Order gcms notes asap to find reason of interview and prepare accordingly. Keep us posted. Good luck!

Is there age difference or any other red flag in your case?

Maybe, I'm 8 years older than her. Also there was 8 month gap between Nikah and ruskhsati/valima, and we applied after the rukhsati.

She also got a visit visa request rejected a few years ago.

Hi,

My wife is also in Feb 2017 applicant and we have not received any further communication after medical and Sch A.

I wanted to ask you if you have seen anything in your GCKEY such as Interview required or recommended ? or GCMS notes ?

Are there any red flags you may see in your case, 2nd marriage, nikkah case etc ?

I am worried if they would send us interview request and I am in Canada right now. We also have a son now who is a Canadian citizen.

Hey I have the same case. My BGC was in process since 5 weeks and no additional documents were asked before, but we received an interview email just today :/

When did you apply and also was your GCKEY or GCMS notes indicated interview recommended ?
