After 7.5 months of submitting application, the only reason that I can think of asking for passport is for immigration Visa. Still waiting for confirmation from GAbbas786.

original passport is not requested, only photocopy? Any reason they gave you?

original passport is not requested, only photocopy? Any reason they gave you?

They did not send me any letter, there was a message on my CIC account to upload my passport

Please paste the text of the message here, so we can confirm if this is a passport request (PPR) or an additional document request.

Bro u have to copy paste the text here to get help. We don't know if its exactly passport request or they just want your passport copy which u missed while sending your application. Or maybe your passport has expired and they want copy of your new passport.

Back office pilot programme

Hey All,

I have some update for all of you regarding back office pilot programme. I emailed CIC and they informed me that in this programme the original visa office such as CPC Mississauga reviews files for completeness before it gets assigned to a visa officer overseas for initial review. This helps as all the documents are completed before being assigned to visa officer and results in reducing processing time/backlog.

I guess the above makes sense as lot of people are getting request for forms, photos, PC, medical etc within a month or so of filing the application with hope that it will reduce processing time when a visa officer is reviewing eligibility.

Hope above response helps for people who were concerned about back office pilot programme.

Did any Pakistani principal applicant submit the old Birth Certificate ? (non Nadra). The manually written ones that were called "Extract of Entries from City Register of Births within Municiple limits of Khi/Lhr/isb"

Your insight will be appreciated as we're fearing ours might get returned since we submitted the old extract of entries doc.
