You have applied through lawyer so you wont be able to make gckey/my cic account. Ask your lawyer to make mycic account and tell you what is the stage of your application? Have background checks started?

Whats the difference between ecas and mycic?
Will the lawyer be able to tell immediatley? Or will he have to ordeer notes on my behalf?

I am sponsoring my husband and we are planning to apply in January. My husband had already done the police check in November 2016 but the new forms came out. Should i submit the police certificate now? because it already done or wait for the cic acknowledge??

Send whatever you have made, in new forms they are not asking for PCC but you already had made so send it.
his processing time will be according to Pakistan (his nationality).

myCIC account gives more information regarding stage of application. ask yout lawyer to create an account and link your application with the account. then he can tell u.Ahmad10June said:

Because sponsor approval was made on 27th june and PR file processing on ecas shows started on 30th August
