Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

If i apply after 4 months of marriage is that fine with CIC or does that raise any red flags that why did you wait so long to apply?
My wife's brother is getting married at the end of year 2017 and she wants to attend that before coming here so I just want to make sure that her medical is valid by then.

you can always have a re med in case ur med applies. trust me thats not a big problem. 3 months should be okay. if u apply after a year then lvo can ask you. this year until now the average processing time is 8.3 months. hope that helps.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Asalam O Alaikum brothers and sisters.
I've sponsored my wife on November 2nd and the current status is that the file has been transferred to LVO. When my wife went for Upront Medical, she was expecting and they deferred her X-Rays. The current status in GCKey shows that "medical passed". The birth of baby is expected in Coming February inshaAllah.
So far what I know is that I will have to add the new born along with the sponsorship application since I am permanent resident. But I don't know if my wife will get the visa before the delivery or she will have to wait for baby's birth and then after the baby is being added, my wife and baby will have to go for another medical and then both of them will get the visa together?
I request the experts to throw some light on this situation.

Thanks in anticipation,

Regards,
Syed

Hello,
Our records show that you may be a permanent resident (PR) of Canada. This email is a reminder that you must present your valid Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a flight to Canada.
Canadian permanent residents who do not present a valid PR card or PRTD may be denied boarding their flight to Canada for not having the appropriate travel documents.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid when you return from travel outside of Canada. The expiry date is printed on the card. If your PR card is expired or will expire within six months, you should apply now to renew your card.
If you are in Canada and do not currently have a permanent resident card or your card is expired, find out how to apply for a permanent resident card.
If you are outside of Canada and do not have a PR card or your card is expired, find out how to apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD).
Plan ahead and check the processing times to receive a valid PR card or PRTD before your next international trip.
Please note that if you believe you no longer meet Canada’s permanent residency requirements, your permanent resident status must be resolved before you can apply for a visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). For example, if you choose to give up (renounce) your permanent resident status, you can then apply for an eTA or a visa. Learn more about your residency requirements and your options as a permanent resident of Canada.
We encourage you to share this information with your family and friends as we want to avoid Canadian permanent residents experiencing travel delays because they don’t have the appropriate travel document to board a flight to Canada.
Thank you,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

I've received the same email yesterday.

I think after the delivery you must inform CIC for change in circumstances. The CIC website states the following:

"Change in contact information or in personal circumstances
To avoid delays in processing, make sure your contact information and your application details are up-to-date.

Use this Web form to notify us of changes in your application, such as:

1) Changes in your personal circumstances such as a birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce."

Then im assuming CIC will then get back to you, request a re-med, tell you which forms who need to fill, etc. The best way is to call up CIC, and confirm how things would be.

Hey did you hear anything after your wife's background check went in progress?

Hi MM345. Nothing yet. Also her ECAS still says 'Application Received' but her MyCIC says Background and Eligibility in Progress.
