Thank you all! Alhamdullilah...not that it was the news I was waiting to hear but at least it's something to get me through this week!

OK so, yes and of course I submitted all of those documents with the original package sent in December. What is worrying me is that the letter they sent me said that since we never submitted our documents (nikka nama/BC; even though we did!!!), we may not be considered 'member of the family class'. Which made it sound like a Procedural Fairness Letter. I'm actually pretty scared to be honest guys. I just sent the requested documents via email (since I had copies of the original documents I sent ORIGINALLY), webform and now going at lunch to FedEx it. Seriously, this is not good news.

Glad to hear there's progress on your file. Yeah that is a PFL, but don't panic; the majority of requests for Urdu Nikah Namas come in the form of PFLs.

But I don't believe they mentioned anything about not being considered as a member of family class :'(

Landing_PR wait, did you send the Urdu nikah nama and English translation with the "original" package you sent when you first applied. OR did you send it after the initial package.

I am just wondering if it was part of the initial package why didn't they get it with all the other documents?.. ??? ???.This is scary if there losing documents.. ???..In case I am missing something.. : :

Thankfully you're checking the forum! I was really hoping for you to respond (or Superman, either/or). Anyways, so what do you think? Have there been a positive ending to this PFL? I wrote a big clarification cover letter along with all the documentations. I just don't want them thinking otherwise. Do I need my MP involvement at this point? AGH! I'm losing little bit of my leftover mind from this whole tedious process! :'(

Yeah, I've been lurking on and off. Just wanted to make sure you and F.M saw something by the end of this week.

And yeah sure, there have been plenty of positive endings to PFLs requesting Urdu Nikah Namas (see the link in my previous post for one of many examples). I know the wording sounds scary, but if the Urdu NN is all they're asking for, then frankly it really isn't anything to worry about. How about talking to your MP first before responding to the PFL or sending anything to LVO? You've got 30 days, so don't rush.

Sounds good, and no need to be scared . TBH most visa officers use this as a standard response for whenever they misplace our Urdu NNs or when we forget to submit them.

One last thing: look at the last set of notes you recieved. Go down all the way to the bottom and see if there's any notes from the officers at CPC-M mentioning that you've submitted your marriage certificate as proof of relationship.

Received additional doc request. Finally. Alhamdullilah.

Nikka nama in urdu and English along with our kid's birth certificate.

Congrats! Good to see movement on ur case! But it sucks they're asking for docs you already sent earlier.

I sent my original urdu nikahnama and they lost it. It was mentioned in notes that I need to present my original nikahnama during interview. So I involved my MP. Now yesterday thry sent me email that they have my nakahnama so they dont need it anymore. Never ever trust them until your visa is stamped.

I never ordered any notes before until last week :
But I had made an electronic copy of the document package I was sending to CIC originally. And I had all of the documents in there that they are requesting now.
Let's see what MP/LVO comes back with :-\
