Agree. Turkish is the cheapest I found. I got a return ticket from Montreal to Islamabad $800 in February this year.
I am going with Turkish again this December for $1400 in Christmas where the rest of the Airlines is about 1800 - 2000 dollars.

Last month I was checking PIA for September - October and it was about $1150 from Toronto - Islamabad return flight.

1,150 return for PIA is good :), they are always so expensive, but my problem is I just can't come around to trusting them with my safety. But for a direct flight that is really good. :D

With everything that's been going on recently, I don't know if I'd want to have a layover in Istanbul when flying with Turkish. Best bet for limited vacation days is PIA. Leave on Friday at 5 pm and get in Lahore by 3 pm Saturday afternoon. Even on the return flights, it's on Saturdays at 8 am and gets you in Toronto at 1 pm Saturday. So instead of wasting time at the airports, layovers and in air, you get to spend time with your family since every single second counts ;)

When are you planning to go btw Flx?

i agree. layovers would be fun if my wife was with me, but otherwise i don't want to spend a single minute sulking in some lounge for 5 hours. i'll probably be crying on my way back and then all the kids will be staring at me.

i am probably going to go at the end of this month. i managed to extend my leave a little so i'll be there for a full week.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hi
We already submit our application in May 5, 2016.
My wife is coming to Pakistan in November and will go on 1 December inshah ALLAH. I already booked my wife return ticket in PIA. Is it helpful during the application process because I have no idea about that?? My case is different because she is not from Pakistan.
Thank you

Exactly. It's not like you're going on a vacation that you need to take selfies in VIP lounges. It's family reunification (I'm going to be throwing this word around in case PM Trudeau is reading ::)).

There you go! See if I hadn't pushed you into getting a new job, I have a feeling you'd still be considering moving out of Canada ;D

gotta love them selfies. trudeau's too busy giving apology speeches and taking selfies.

and yeah my employer is a hard ass about vacations but the only good thing about them is the salary. :(

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Flew with PIA a few months back (Toronto - Lahore) and had no problems with the service. Yeah, they have no inflight entertainment, and I'm pretty sure their LCDs stopped working like 20 years ago so people should have caught up by now haha. Service isn't the greatest but if you actually smile and ask kindly, you end up getting a better response from the airline staff. On my return flight, the PIA staff ran out of blankets and people were being so rude towards them and literally yelling...all because of they ran out of blankets..... ::)

Overall, its an okay experience. Only reason I still prefer PIA is because they're the only airline that flies direct. I like having the piece of mind of boarding at YYZ and off at LHE in 13-14 hours, without having to worry about layovers and all.

Ticket prices are usually pretty good from our experience, as compared to other airlines. We travelled in the spring-summer months this year (kids off school) and still paid $1000/ticket. Return.
