it won't delay your application because pakistani TRVs are processed at the visa office in abu dhabi.

the only advice i would give is to be extremely careful when filling out the TRV application and to proof read it several times before sending it in. if you make a mistake on the application and if the visa officer thinks it's misrepresentation, your spouse visa will be cancelled and CIC will ban your spouse from canada for 5 years.

I am interested in knowing the answer to this too.

If your wife becomes pregnant during the immigration process, does it really add any delays to your application? I would assume it makes your case stronger as you both are now expecting a child.

For reporting it to CIC, I think you have to fill out the "additional dependents IMM 0008DEP-E" form? As well as send a specific case inquiry to LVO to update them. This is just what I think I am not sure if this is the right way to go about this.

If anyone has any info, please respond.

BTW, this is the case if you're sponsoring your wife from Pakistan.

One of my friend's wife gave birth to a child during the process and CIC asked him to send IMM5406 again and Long form birth Certificate of the Child.

If wife is in Pakistan and husband is a canadian then the child will get canadian citizenship automatically and there's no need to fill 0008DEP according to my understanding. If the father has PR then they need to fill IMM008DEP

If they are going to wait for the birth certificate, then it will add a lot of time to the process. 8-9 months for the birth + whatever time you have been waiting since filing the application. I wonder if they issue a DM & PPR while the wife is still pregnant, and its been 8-12 months since app filed.

As per flx2015, do the following to change your email address (should work for mailing address as well, imo):

yes, this is how i changed my address. this this as the subject line: Urgent: change of email address

London Visa Office email address:

LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

in the body of the email, mention all of the following:
1. your uci
2. your file number
3. that you are the principal applicant
4. OLD email address
5. NEW email address

If it's early pregnancy then i guess they won't wait but if its in later stage then i guess they will wait for the birth. After 27 weeks of pregnancy you can't travel, the airlines don't allow so most probably they wait for the child's birth.

I need your help to file application for my wife & new born daughter. Below is my scenario:
I landed in June 2014 and came back to UAE where I was working since 2009. In later 2014 I got engaged and Nikkah was done in January 2015. Reception/Rukhsti was held in April 2015 and my wife came to UAE on spouse visa and stayed with me till May 2016. During this stay we visited many countries together including Switzerland and Italy and blessed with a baby girl in July 2016 (In Pakistan). Now I ‘ll be moving to Canada next month and want to sponsor both my wife and daughter. Would you please let me know below:
• What documents should I require from UAE (Except PCC for my wife)?
• What are the documents which I should need from Pakistan? I went through the check list provided on CIC website but got confused specially relating to the original birth & educational certificates for sponsor.
• What is the procedure for up front medical for spouse and daughter and when can we do that?
• List of forms to be filled for Spouse and dependent child.
• Applicable fees and method of payment.
• How to get assessed by CRA for tax returns for last year (Which will be 2015 for me as I am out of Canada since landing)

It was in progress and even know it's says in progress. Just where the documents option is it changed to documents have been requested.
