Hello,

So my husband got an additional document request ( proof of visit, communication etc) early july, we managed to submit the documents by early August. Today he got a request to do one part of his medical again as its expiring soon. His full medical expires soon too, on October 15th 2016.

Whats going on what can i expect? Any ideas?

Good luck to all of us waiting. May we be united with our spouses soon.

they are either ready to issue PPR and are only waiting on a medical reassesment, or they are still working on background checks. get it done asap and let's hope for the best.

I got email today and saying that reassemement has been completed.

an email from LVO? what else did they say in it? it's strange for them to send any emails unless they need something from the applicant.

I need some help here - the only alternative to not paying for a $100 visa every time you visit Pakistan is to get a Smart NICOP, right (correct me if I am mistaken). What is the procedure? I called at the embassy and the guy was not much of help. He said everything is done online now, we don't deal with nadra in any way. :-\

my wife visited pak embassy in toronto today and applied from there. you just need your parents Pakistani passport or NICOP and your passport and birth certificate.

Is your VO Delhi? and not LVO?

he's LVO. remedicals for pakistani applicants always come from ndvo.

Hi All,

Just a minor query,

in case of pregnancy, do we need to inform the CIC about the case. does this make the case strong or any benefit to speed up the case.

my sponsor is in Pakistan,
case filed on 20th May, SA= 27th July 16.

In case we have to inform CIC about the scenario, then whats the procedure.
please guide.

If your wife becomes pregnant during the immigration process, does it really add any delays to your application? I would assume it makes your case stronger as you both are now expecting a child.

For reporting it to CIC, I think you have to fill out the "additional dependents IMM 0008DEP-E" form? As well as send a specific case inquiry to LVO to update them. This is just what I think I am not sure if this is the right way to go about this.

If anyone has any info, please respond.

BTW, this is the case if you're sponsoring your wife from Pakistan.

That makes sense. But what if you provide medical documentation validating the wife's pregnancy, and send it to LVO through case specific inquiry ahead of time? I wonder if doing so would avoid any sort of delay.

he mentioned something about changing policies for TRVs as well. really hope they're going to introduce something similar to spousal TRVs so we can at least be together while our apps are being processed.

I also did something sneaky; hit the 'Report Typo or Error' link a the bottom of the story and left a note for the editors that they needed to update this story. One year on, the wait times for spousal applications have actually regressed!
