Hey if there is any update on our file in MyCIC account.does it notify us through our email address or we have to check for the updates?

Yes it notifies us with an email, but up until now I have always received my emails a day after the actual update.

Thank God at least they update unlike ecas which we have to check to see any updates and seeing nothing new dissappoints more than anything else.

Out of curiosity guyz what exactly do you get in the additional document request phase?

I mean, I have sent everything, communication (100 pages), pictures (30-40pics) , certificates etc. So is it like they will ask for more communication?? or photos??... Roll Eyes

I cannot speak of myself but the usual document request is comprised of any original document one failed to provide initially, could be one's original urdu nikkah nama, translation of urdu nikkah nama, marriage certificate, etc etc. Further relationship proofs they ask for is on-going relationship proofs, i.e., conversation and phone/video call logs, visa stamps/plane tickets of visits after the marriage, additional pictures of the marriage itself (namely the rukhsati, they want to see guests as well), sometimes they require clarifications on some aspects (could be the gap between one's marriage & the submission of the application if it's too long apart or if one has only done nikkah and no rukhsati then why is such the case), among many other things...

And as for getting a document request - well it all depends on the quality of the proofs one provides as opposed to the quantity. If you succeed in providing all required documents (whether original or copy), photos of all of the events, your story matches with the pictures (sometimes people write there were 400 guests but it does not seem like it from the photos), and other relevant proofs and explanations, then you should be fine.

Ok I have covered all the items you mentioned in my file, I took 2 months to finalize my file with all the detail requirement's looking at this forum, talking to people and then having a lawyer :. I know ruksuti is a big thing as you said so I put in a lot of those photos, I know they'll probably find something if they had to. So that's why needed some input from experienced people so I can get things already ready when they ask..

Yes yes thanks !!! Omg I'm so happy no words. They also send me the appendix form!! But it's says sumbit the passport to islambad ? I thought we did that where we live in my husbands case Lahore

Also I did mail them before u replied back to my msgs I told them about my mother in laws death and then I got a reply saying its in finial stages you will get a answer in 20 days and then I got the ppr in my cic !!
