Its getting really frustrating situation for december applicants, when we still know that yet additional document phase still to come and then add more 2 months..

what did you do about your 2nd doc request where they asked for your urdu nikkah nama? you said you already sent that with your application, so how could you possibly get another one?

Out of curiosity guyz what exactly do you get in the additional document request phase?

I mean, I have sent everything, communication (100 pages), pictures (30-40pics) , certificates etc. So is it like they will ask for more communication?? or photos??... :

Hey guys I went to go meet my mp yesterday...so apparently they have a immigration consultant with whom I got a appointment on September 6th! So I'm stuck with a appointment instead of meeting with the mp...I'm also supposed to get my notes on September 6...I wish I would also get ppr on September 6th!!!
LOL ....so the question is ppl who have been to mps did you guys meet the mp or immigration conusultant?

yes, it's always the immigration consultant who meets with us.

btw just so you're aware, the immigration consultant will most likely be a 5 star idiot who is only going to give you the same info we can already see on MyCIC, and i GUARANTEE you that he/she will then proceed to tell you that the average time frame is 25 months. do not worry when they tell you about the average time frame. to be honest, the average forum member at canadavisa.com knows more than most so-called "immigration consultants" employed by our MPs. the only thing we don't have is the ability to call up the visa office and get an instant update on the status of our file.

To be honest I was expecting something like that..they are no help at all..I had to knock on the damn door because it was locked for 15 mins...this a depressing time for everyone..my mother in law just passed away and my husband is alone in Paksitan...no family and no one..I can't go to him because of work plus school.. I was hopeing to get something after 45 days but I feel like we will have to wait until 50-60 days after doc request...I wish I could speak with someone else and tell them please help us!

So basically no point in meeting with the immigration lawyer?

i am sorry to hear that about your mother in law.

just be patient. you are still in a better position than most of us including me. my file is 8 months and 22 days old, and they have not even opened it yet.

here's my advice to everyone: once you are reunited with your loved ones, do not forget what CIC put us through. the liberals promised us that they would speed up family reunification, but they broke that promise. when it's time for the next election in 2019, do not vote liberal.

i already have written letters to both mccallum and trudeau. unfortunately they don't really care unless there's a mass protest or media coverage. individuals are not as important as the majority vote.

this is why i ask everyone to never forget and to NOT vote for the liberals in 2019.

Its sad to see people for 8 months and no answer :'(...kinda worries me. I have always said spousal sponsorship should be the fastest. There is no reason for its delay, you can figure out quickly when a marriage is fraud or not. Plus even if you want to take an year atleast give the spouse a TRV : so they can be with each other, this 11-12 month delay god forbid can really screw marriages over.
