That's true but this is something unfair to all of us who are paying tax and who have properly filed our sponsor cases. At least media should raise this issue. They give at least visit visa to every spouse. Can they feel the pain how spouse can live a part and then family pressure and other things of society.

Like they know how it feels to make spouses apart....let them go through it and then they will know... forget about spouses...they made my daugher stay away from her father , I kept making them realize through my emails that she needs to be with her father ...but no nothing happened,,,they took sweet 2 years and 4 months to process our application....

And plus I dont understand ...why everyone over here is just passed few months of processing and stilll frustrated....when an application involving a baby can take more than 2 years... then any application with or without kids involving can take a year or so,,, let them do their work,,,. One day you all will succeed.....I pray...

FBI is needed only who is residing in US or have been lived there more than 6 months....right?

I was getting the reply eligibility has been passed,criminality has been passed, its the security part of background which took them longer. MP said we cant interfere with background checks so we cant do anything. We have crossed the limit of frustration. All other file was cleared, no additional information was needed, just waswaiting for background checks. My husband submitted his third medical in June 2016. I even contacted my MP mid of July and still same. Then suddenly we got decision made and passport request. My husband was in UK when we applied, then he moved to Pakistan a year ago.
Just be patience. Hopefully you will get there soon. Do you have any idea when your background checks were started ?"

My Eligibility, Criminality, 1st Medical was already passed. My re-medical was done in May-2016. MP told us that my file is in routine background check. We first came to know that my file is under background check in Sep-Oct 2015 from MP and upon our recent inquiry (in Aug-2016) we again came to know (from MP and Visa Officer) that my file in under routine background check. I don't know how much time they will need more to complete this background check.!! Really frustrating.

My visa officer is "REO". Who was yours?

Our visa officer was SF or recently SNF. We also came to know last year that our file is in background check since sept 2015. Hopefully yours wont be longer now... i read somewhere it takes for some cases maximum a year for a background check..hopefully yours will be coming soon InshALLAH.. i will pray for you...

oh gawd LVO is working too slow. i sae someones comment over this forum saying she is oct applicant and her application has not been reviwed by any immigration officer :O. how is this possible that w/o reviewing all oct applicant LVO has jumped to nov applicants. It sounds strange to me. I thought they have a cycle like they will move on to next month applicants atleast after looking at all previous months files. If they see some issue with a certain case , they take more time to finalize it but they do inform the applicant.
does it work this way? or is it actually the matter of luck, no matter in which month u have applied ur case would be reviwed only if randomly/by chance visa officer picked up your file. the month in which you applied does not make any difference. Anyone aware of how it works? I would really appreciate if someone answers to this. its really confusing. :-[
