Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hello everybody,

I'm filling up the application for spouse, I don't have any income yet as i have recently immigrated to Canada. I know i don't need to meet any income requirements but do I need to provide any explanation how I plan to support financially in terms of living etc. or should I just wait for CIC to ask for such explanation.

Please advice.

Thanks.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

if your app is 8+ months old and your medical is close to expiring, don't sit back and wait! send LVO an email and go to your MP.

Update:

This information may be useful to anyone who's medical may be due to expire in 4ish weeks.

I had this email today...

"Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your message. The validity of your medicals was extended until 7 June 2017 and your application was subsequently approved. Your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) was sent to your Canadian address on 5 July 2016.
We trust the above is of assistance.
Yours sincerely,
RIH
Program Assistant
Immigration and Medical Services Division..."

So I'm pretty certain now that sending the case specific enquiry regarding my medical on 4th July sped up my
application. It may have been due to switch to DM soon anyway as LVO are currently working on October 2015 applications, but the fact they sent out COPR the day after makes me feel like the email helped. It's such a relief to hear from them!

Good luck to all!

Hey flx2015 what if we are march 2016 applicant and my husbands medical is about to expire? Should we bother sending them an email? Or should we wait since they are still processing November applicants?

Thank you! :)

So then do we send an email or case specific? For me, December is still 4 months away ???

Never mind, I just re-read the post and it said case specific.

i also have 4 months until my wife's medical expires. i probably won't send them a reminder (if necessary) until 2 months before it expires. insha allah you and i might already be across the finish line by then...

Inshallah Flx! However, since I've heard of long wait times for getting an appoint for medical/remeds, I've asked hubby to get an appointment for early August. If we don't need it until then, we can always push it forward in 2 weeks increment, as I don't want to waste time waiting on getting an appointment.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Any November/December applicant:
- contacted their MP yet?
- Ordered notes?

Is the Medical received line not showing up under the PR section? Because that's where it should only show up. Send a case specific inquiry if it doesn't.

Yes the PR destion on ECAS.. its not showing medical recieved.

ON the other side, I ahve heard many people sayin that ECAS is not totally true reflection of ur status. some people even landed in canada and yet their status showing in process..THey suggest that be queit until CIC request u to do so.. Is it valid or still i should send my scanned e-reciept anyways?

Why do you want to take any potential chances and/or risks by staying quiet? Scan, email and wait for their response. Also, get your MP involved now. There's a high chance MP's office might be short staffed due to vacations or summer recess so they could delay in responding. Act now rather than wasting weeks/months.
