You should order notes if you haven't done so already. I am also July 2015 applicant and my application is held for interview. Most likely the only reason they will take this long to process an application is because it requires an interview. I am not saying this is the reason for sure but it could very well be and ordering notes will help you determine any concerns that reviewing visa officer might have pointed out.

that's a good thing. i don't want them sending out their bullsh*t doc requests to everyone unless they really need them.

looks like they work in some kind of a "cyclical" pattern, so the rate of DMs isn't really constant. my guess is that they process in batches. i'm not concerned.

Yes, but doc requests are indicators that CIC is in working mode. The silence is frightening because it could mean we are all in a log of this black-hole AKA sponsorship process

Well the notes don't specify any solid reason - the visa officer wrote positive comments overall. We had some family issues so one side of the family wasn't at the wedding - that's the only reason I can think of. My lawyer has recently sent additional documents about my visit and we re-explained the whole situation so lets see! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes this silence means they are currently not working on our files
Is this true that once they clear all oct applicants only then they will start working on nov applicants and so on..

DO you mean whole family or some family members? This put me in more depression because my parents in law were not present in the wedding.

Hi,
I did my interview in Jan 2016 and after they required some additional documents in Feb 2016 since then a complete silance from LVO me and my wife decided to go to MP she gave appointment 09 may 2016 my wife went there and gave her all details about our case she connected over the phone to cic and asked them about our case they said they have done all the investigation about our case and they passed my eligibility (applicant ) and now they are doing background checks and I received my gcms notes they sended my original documents to my wife in canada on 16 may 2016 but we haven't received yet
now I have two questions
1) how long they gonna take to check my backgrounds
2) we haven't received our original documents
thank you in anticipation

we know they've gotten up until October 2015... so it's not too far to go. i know it really does look like they're hibernating right now but they're not going to stay that way forever. we'll be seeing movement soon insha allah.

oddly enough NDVO and Ottawa have also been quiet over the past few weeks. maybe it's just the calm before the storm, only time will tell.

yeah that's very long and frustrating process. But the good news is i think your interview is waived because remedial is the last thing they ask for.. so congrats your hard time is coming to end..do your medical as soon as possible so that u get DM soon.

Hi,

Need urgent feedback.

My re-medical was done on 12-May-2016. We were in contact with our MP and yesterday, MP office send an email to my wife as below.

" I spoke to immigration yesterday about your husband's application. I was told that the background security check is now in progress. That's good as it is the most time consuming process. Furthermore, the 'new' medical results will be valid until May-2017. And there is currently no outstanding document from the applicant. So it looks like he has to wait for the next instructions. if you do not have any news by mid October 2016, you may contact us for assistance. I trust this information is useful to you."

Need views on above email received from our MP. Do you think that it is a positive signal?
Does anyone has any ides about background security check, I mean what they check? How much estimated time they can further take?
