Hi flx2015,

I'm March-2014 applicant. My re-medical was done on 12-May-2016. We were in contact with our MP and today, MP office send an email to my wife.
" I spoke to immigration yesterday about your husband's application. I was told that the background security check is now in progress. That's good as it is the most time consuming process. Furthermore, the 'new' medical results will be valid until May-2017. And there is currently no outstanding document from the applicant. So it looks like he has to wait for the next instructions. if you do not have any news by mid October 2016, you may contact us for assistance. I trust this information is useful to you."

Do you have any ides about background security check? How much estimated time they can further take?

From what i understand CIC is working 2014 applicants. Which is good as they have waited a long time but i really hope we hear more DM/PPR for 2015 applicants and faster too. They seem very slow...as if they are fasting and it's Ramazan for them too If we all pray in this month in sha Allah we should all get excellent news.

Inshallah after Baqra Eid. I have to apply for my daughter's passport now, who is a new born, so this process is still not over for me. Wish you best of Luck!

Sure, that was 8th March 2016.
1 - 2 Months for Passport request or DM status change?.
Is there a gap for PPR & DM Status change aswell?

Anything can happen.for a few cases i know on this forum, they send ppr without ecas being changed to DM.
And yes there is gap between dm and ppr.you can check this in the spreadsheet for accurate time.

that's a good thing. i don't want them sending out their bullsh*t doc requests to everyone unless they really need them.

looks like they work in some kind of a "cyclical" pattern, so the rate of DMs isn't really constant. my guess is that they process in batches. i'm not concerned.
