Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hello everyone again!... Thanks to all those that replied to my earlier question.... I have another question... n my apologies in advance if this question has been beaten to death in this forum but here goes...

How does London Visa Office currently treat Nikkah Only applications?

I'm trying to advise a friend who recently got nikkah done in Karachi in Feb 2016.... and when I was doing my own application (in 2012).... there was explicit instruction that nikkah only cases would not be accepted.... most of my friends that had nikkah cases were sent letters to submit proof of rukhsati within 45 days.... at which point they had to scramble n head to pak to do their rukhsati...

I'm curious to know how London Visa Office is handling NIkkah only applications these days?.... do they accept the explanation that the rukhsati will be completed once visa is issued??.... N e body with Nikkah only cases please let me know your experience

i don't know. it expires in november 2016 but who knows if these idiots will ask her for a remed just to waste our time.

some say not to do remed before they ask, so i'm not sure of anything.

That's what I'm trying to gauge and see since our meds expire in December. What a waste!

You cannot do the remed without CIC's permission (email proof). The physician requires the proof to go ahead with the remed.

Oh I had no idea...I just thought you show up and do a remed. Thanks for the clarification :)

they don't always ask for remed; some visa officers extend it, and some only ask if it's expiring within 30 days. as i mentioned before, there's a sept applicant i know personally who got DM and PPR approx 30 days before his wife's medical was due to expire, and the visa officer never asked for a remedical. no clue why they're asking acron for a remedical even though his still has 2.5 months left before it expires.

No one knows what these guys can decide for anyone but my question is, for those applicants who applied when the process time was 17 months shouldn't that apply to them rather than the new time frame that they've given now of 24months..??

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

My medical is also expiring in nov.(my notes say dec) but i hope our cases will be done by aug inshALLAH.

you already asked this before, and the answer is no.

the reason for that is because CIC doesn't care about the posted timeline as it's a useless piece of info. the only reason it exists is to stop MPs from interfering and expediting applications. no matter what they change it to, LVO will continue working at the same pace (i.e. DM within 8-10 months on average).

I know i asked this before but what i'm saying is that then why are some cases not done yet even though its been more than 8-10 months...??

doc requests, remedicals, interviews, misplaced files, etc.

or maybe it's just the visa officers being lazy. i can guarantee you that there are also files which have been in process for more than 24 months also. they simply do not care about the posted timeline except when it's time to make excuses for why they're so slow.

Makes sense.... I just hope everyone in process have their decisions made by the end of this ramadan... InshaAllah...... Ameen

i also want to add this: the posted timeline for sweden is 19 months, ireland is 13 months, england is 17 months... but guess what, applications for these countries are all processed at the same visa office (London VO), and by the same visa officers. no one can explain why it's higher for pakistan. one possible reason is that their average includes the time elapsed for the files which were transferred from islamabad to london around 2012-2013, and this obviously no longer applies to us because our files went directly to london. no point in trying to understand it anyway, because like i've already said, it's useless info.
