Oct 6th 2015 applicant. Medical expiring on 17th August 2016.

Patience is the key in this matter.

no, the CIC doesn't deserve our patience because they're processing visa-exempt applicants within 2-3 months while people like you and me are made to wait 8-10 months. it's NOT ok to be made to wait more than 8 months, and i don't care what their posted timeline is. it's their fault, not ours.

you may not be in a hurry but many others are. i can't visit my wife and she can't visit me. i feel like i'm in a prison and we miss each other.

wth? why did they send a remedical request when there's still 2.5 months left for it to expire? what kind of a game are they playing?

it is totally a game. i haven't seen my wife in 9 months because my job won't let me go to her and CIC won't let her come to me, so please don't tell me to relax. this is a "normal process" only for canada. no other country keeps spouses separated for this long like these people do.

i know a sept 23rd applicant who got DM on april 28th, and their medical was due to expire on may 30th. why didn't he get remed request? they are just making bullsh*t excuses to buy time and delay it further. i don't want them to do the same to me.

we did case specific inquiry twice and it said your file is under review and it's within posted processing time

i don't know. it expires in november 2016 but who knows if these idiots will ask her for a remed just to waste our time.

some say not to do remed before they ask, so i'm not sure of anything.

You cannot do the remed without CIC's permission (email proof). The physician requires the proof to go ahead with the remed.

within posted processing time my ass. that's because they changed it to 24 months. they can change it to whatever they want and no one will dare question them.
