PPR = Passport Request.
In Pakistan PPR comes in 2 steps [PPR-1 & PPR-2].
PPR-1.....London Visa office send PPR-1 through email asking for recent photos, passport copies and a form.
PPR-2.....London VO send PPR-2 through email. Original Passports should be submitted to Islamabad VO for Visa stamping.
Normally (PPR-1) takes 3-5 months after medical done & (PPR-2) 4-6 weeks.

PPR1 3 to 5 months???? thats very long if someone's process has already been 8+ months??? Just to receive PPR2? I thought overall process was 8-10 months.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but the reason it takes an additional 3-5 months is because it takes 3 months for CIC to receive medical results. my wife's panel physician's office told her this when she went to do her first medical in lahore.

you did your upfront medicals a full 5 months before submitting your app. always try to do them at the last minute possible before submitting, since that makes it less likely for the medical to expire while your file's still in process.

I dont think it takes 3 months for new medicals to be received. A remedical only consists of a couple of xrays.

If you look at forum member Beti, they had a remedical and got PPR within 2 weeks.

i was afraid of getting a remedical request because i thought it would set me back by months. i guess it's nothing to worry about then.

hey we submitted our passports on 24th May 2016 from Vfs gerry karachi do tell me when you get your passports back we both are in the same boat

We submitted Passport on May 23. We are waiting for the passport, did not receive it yet. Hoping that we and every one who is waiting would get it back within 2 weeks In Shaa ALLAH
