Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hello everyone, I have a question about form 3907e. According to the Supplementary Information form for Pakistani nationals the applicant has to supply information regarding military service. If the individual (applicant) has no military service record, an exception certificate has to be provided. I was wondering about what this certificate is, and if it is mandatory for the applicant has to supply it or not? My wife is 19 years old and has no record of military service or any association of that kind. Where do I have to get this certificate from? Any information on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing the info.

I looked at the link and it seems like this link is specifically for those people who settle for more than a month outside Canada and have no PR card(even though they are PR in Canada).

I want to get a document with which me and my wife can travel for 1-2 weeks outside Canada for honeymoon, and then she can enter Canada again without any hassles. Is there such a document that can be used for this purpose?

Senior's please help

Thank you

congratulations! Thats a wonderful news and a big relief. Please tell after how many days you got your passports back? And you submitted it through Gerrys? Your whole passport process procedure would be really helpful for us if you share it :)

Just a quick question, my 2 months of "in process" are coming up soon for my wife. At what point should I apply for notes to see where the case is headed? CIC received my file on Feb 1, 2016, case went in process March 26th.
umm, i applied for notes when my app was 4mo IP & i saw nothing but meds being cleared. like flx says, they dont really touch the file unless its bee like 6-6.5mo IP & then DM is ranging at 7-8mo avg...

no i meant 6 to 6.5 months since file date. same for DM, which is trending at 7 to 8 months since file date.

and maybe you didn't get a doc request because you voluntarily sent in more proof? anyway you are currently at 7 months and 4 days since file date, so i think you're like 30 or 40 days away from DM or PPR. ;)

i was born in canada but never lived in pak.

it's just that it's usually pakistani born people who marry back home and then sponsor, and i don't want the visa officer to start suspecting anything just because i don't fit into that trend since i wasn't born in pak. i don't want them to think "this guy is born in canada so why isn't he marrying in canada".

I was born in Toronto. Sponsored my Pakistani wife. No issues. It's not a red flag. Just a lot of bureaucracy and paper-work.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hello everyone

Just an update!
I called CIC and they solved the issue for me.
My file was actually sent to London on May 16th!
WWWOOHOOOO!! Thanks to everyone who helped me out.
Any idea how long does the london step take? my female cousin two months, male cousin 5 months.
Also, I will be applying visit visa. What will help boost up the visit application for my husband?

I never supplied an exception certification. I just made note on the form "NO MILITARY SERVICE". They never inquired further about it.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hi

Is it common to have your 2nd Medical Expired and still not hearing anything from CIC?
My spouse is from Pakistan and my file is in London UK office. The Online status of my application says ("In Process") for over 2 years. My spouses 2nd medical expired about two months ago and I haven’t heard back from CIC. I have requested the CAIPs file two times and it is as following:

10/2013 File Opened
11/2013 SPR-Eligibility Met
10/2014 Eligibility/CRIM-Passed, Pending MEDs
04/2015 Proof of meds, requested Docs Received
04/2016 Label: Verification

2nd Medical Expired & No news about two months ago. I did the online inquiry at the London(UK) office where my file is, it states waiting for background check and its already over a year but I have no news yet. The website stated 11 months, then 17 months, then 23 months and now 11 months but my file has been in process about 32 months now. Does anybody has any idea what can cause it to take so long and how long will I have to wait? My passport is expiring next July 2017 so is it a good idea to renew it now or should I wait ?

Thank you for your help!
