just curious, how many other non-Pakistani born sponsors are there here?

i'm of Pakistani origin but i was born in Canada, and i never lived in Pakistan. i hope this won't be a red flag. :(

I was also born in Canada, but lived about decade in Pakistan. I never thought of that before, doesn't make much sense to caus any delay though.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

I have a question that changing spouse name to sponsor husband's name.. Does this make any effect on case progress in a positive way? For example the case looks more genuine and they require less proof of relationship being genuine??

Hello everyone,

I am about to submit my application for my spouse (wife). I am currently a full-time student taking OSAP. I am in my final year of studies (4th year) and will graduate next year. I am planning to write in the app that I will hopefully find a job as soon as I am finished, but in the main time my father will take care of our residence and food needs. Will this negatively affect my application? Please let me know if anyone has any advice.

i was born in canada but never lived in pak.

it's just that it's usually pakistani born people who marry back home and then sponsor, and i don't want the visa officer to start suspecting anything just because i don't fit into that trend since i wasn't born in pak. i don't want them to think "this guy is born in canada so why isn't he marrying in canada".

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Nationality of ones spouse can never be a concern for a visa officer. The legislation of the country provides complete liberty to everyone to choose his/her spouse regardless of origin, color and even gender. Canada is the fourth country in the world, and the first country outside Europe to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide.
Apart from above mentioned fact, I know many people born in Canada and UK. They married to Pakistanis, they sponsored their spouses, they were never asked such a question.

You need to apply for Permanent resident travel document.

A travel document is normally only valid for one single entry.

here is link.

If you are outside Canada and do not have a PR card or your card is expired. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/travel-document/index.asp

Thanks for sharing the info.

I looked at the link and it seems like this link is specifically for those people who settle for more than a month outside Canada and have no PR card(even though they are PR in Canada).

I want to get a document with which me and my wife can travel for 1-2 weeks outside Canada for honeymoon, and then she can enter Canada again without any hassles. Is there such a document that can be used for this purpose?
