hey guys...i got my PPR today..oct 1st applicant...but they are asking for an updatted information chart of appendix A too..kindly guide me wts that ????

Appendix A is a part of your letter that you received from LVO. Nothing to be worried about. Just fill it and submit along with your passport and other requested docs. Letter including Appendix A is a standard pattern these days.

Got a question... how long after landing in Canada do we get the PR card?

The reason i'm asking is that my spouse is landing in Toronto and within a week of landing, we want to go Calgary - Vancouver. The spouse being a Pakistani passport holder, would she be able to travel from Toronto to Calgary - Vancouver by airline (within Canada) on her Pakistani Passport only?

It takes around 6-8 weeks. These days its 40 days.

Yes she can travel as she has COPR with her. PR card is required only when you need to re-enter Canada. Within Canada there is no such requirement.

What about she enters Canada and then we go outside Canada after a while (but before PR is received) . How does that work? Would she be able to enter Canada again?

You need to apply for Permanent resident travel document.


A travel document is normally only valid for one single entry.

Thankyou for your detailed answer. We are a family class case and got our ppr from London Visa office on 20th May 1016 and will be submitting our passports tomorrow ( Monday) inshaAllah. Can you explain that they have stated in the mail to state any changes to london visa office occured in our family which we already did while filing our application and in recent times we have not experienced any changes so does this rule apply to us?

You need to request a travel document from CIC if you are travelling outside Canada without PR card.

Hello everyone,

I am about to submit my application for my spouse (wife). I am currently a full-time student taking OSAP. I am in my final year of studies (4th year) and will graduate next year. I am planning to write in the app that I will hopefully find a job as soon as I am finished, but in the main time my father will take care of our residence and food needs. Will this negatively affect my application? Please let me know if anyone has any advice.

just curious, how many other non-Pakistani born sponsors are there here?

i'm of Pakistani origin but i was born in Canada, and i never lived in Pakistan. i hope this won't be a red flag.

If we r already in canada on visit visa,do we need to exit to pakistan after getting PR??
