its true, i asked the same to a person at the time of my passport submission at VFS KHI, he said to me that you should have to come for passport pick up after receving SMS at ur mobile but not only on receiving of e-mail.

I don't know guys what Canadian Consulate is doing these days . As per VFS Islamabad it'll take 2 weeks but it's getting more than 3 weeks . I was just wondering if they've changed visa issuance policy I.E , they will issue visas all together after a month . I mean whoever has submitted passport in Feb has not got their passport back. This wait time is just killing us. . May Allah makes it easier for us.

So I call VFS Islamabad office to ask about the passport which was submitted on the 24th. The lady said it can take more than four weeks for them to stamp it. Though, after I reminded her that CIC mentioned that four weeks is usually the max, she just wanted to end the call. She said that we will receive an email 48 hours before it is available for pick up and then another email/sms when it's ready.

Is that true? I've always read that folks just receive an email/sms when it is ready never an email 48 hours before. Not that it matters but I am just a little concerned. It's been three weeks...

They told my husband it'll take between 7-21 calendar days to get passport back with visa. They made us wait long enough hopefully don't have to wait another 4 bloody weeks!

Salam sometimes the rest of your background check is not completed. Once its completed only then do they send your PP with Visa stamp. The background check is done at the end and it can take from 2 weeks to 2 months. But I have never seen 2 months. So have patience as its easy for them to put your PP under the pile and this is Pakistan employees who do this. As you just see members on this forum where others are not members. So if they are to put a thousand Visa Stamps its a lot of verifying that all are in order. Only Allah knows better.............

i submitted additional documents to proof of relationship like more photos phone record etc as per vo instructions he ask me on 26 nov 15 and i send them on 24 dec 15 its almost 2.5 months they didn't ask any thing more what you guyz think at what stage is my file.Thanks

I was advised by someone on this board... "in the papers they send you it says they frwd it already to ur VO"

Pretty sure they finish any criminality/HRIV check before they even bother sending a PPR. Though, I may be wrong but it doesn't sound reasonable to do a background check after they haven already taken the passport from us.

I am waiting for more then 4 months after sending additional documents in Oct. Patience is the only thing for us left.
